RIP Peter Byrne
Endless Midnight
Probably best known as Andy Crawford from Dixon of Dock Green, but in B7 terms primarily known for his role as Justin in 'Animals', Peter Byrne has died at the age of 90.

RIP Peter.

Such a shame his character in B7 was so creepy - but at least it's memorable!

Another actor gone. RIP Peter. For the faults we found in the character of Justin, no one can say you didn't play him well. <sigh>

RIP Peter.

I didn't like the character Justin, but I wasn't supposed to, which means you did a wonderful job as an actor.

RIP Mr Peter Byrne.
You did a good job in the portrayal of Justin.

I too liked & was impressed by Peter Byrne's portrayal of Justin.
Will raise a glass in toast tonight!

I rewatched this episode today. Peter was excellent in it, but Animals still stnks: the aversion therapy, the Glyceline Ballast tanks scene which is pure padding.

OH BUT!!! It inspired this *brilliant* bit of B7 fanfic!
[note: i can't find the original online anymore; this is my EDITED (because it was just for myself alone) version]

I love the Ballast tanks scene - it's one of the few redeeming moments in 'Animals'. And I loved you story too, winnie-l Smile

Apparently there were a number of averion therapy scenes not used in the final edit so perhaps the ballast scenes were added at the ;ast minute to stretch the episode out to it's 50 minute running time?

Yay, another fan of the good bits!

Goodness, I've not the wit to write anything half so clever+amusing. All credit to the author daiseechain

Oops, apols to daiseechain! Is the story on AO3? I'm sure I've read it elsewhere.
