Hugbot - ohh, I saw your new post with photos right after I posted mine, and it had some great Shivan photos in it, hurray, thank you! Now I can at last show my family how this revolutionary legend looked in his natural habitat. Smile
All the photos and captures are a delight, so many memories!

Here's another one for you Mrs Underhill:

Is it just me, or is anybody else haviing afterthoughts? I was fighting back the green stuff here on Virn today, and realised I wasn't really here at all. Emotionally I was back in Steventon, with the REAL people. So it was great to come to the Forum and see all the stuff everyone has been uploading. Especially the ones that put names to faces/avatars. It helps a lot! So thank you all. Here's to next time.

I was a bit tired when I uploaded this the first time, so here is a better version of the Tribute Video for Jacqueline and Paul.

Thank you all for the lovely photos and shared memories, I seem to have missed quite a bit, the costumes and smiling faces are really warming my heart.

If you have any complaints about the inclusion of certain pictures or a caption just send me a PM.

Oh, and sorry for the really terrible pun! Angry Oops

Hugbot, lovey photos, thank you.

Glad you got back okay, even with the hassles, great to see you as always.

I'm happy that Shivan made people smile! Hope he can visit again, and Brad - I'm up for your idea of enhancing that experience. Cool

Rather embarrassingly, I've only just realised that was you, Mrs Underhill. What am I like??? Grin Great costume, you rocked it as Shivan!

D'oh!
How, how did I manage to miss my favorite android! But that's what I meant - too little time to absorb everything as so much was happening. I was probably stuffing my face with delicious GBBO tea cakes while Muller's android was looking for his Orac. Smile Arrghh I wish Shivan met him, imagine the conversation: "Where iss Orac?" - "Izzz he come?"

Great photos, everyone- and thanks for sharing, because I never thought to take any of my own! Too busy getting my head round what Id walked in to, it being my first ever convention.

Hi, same here! So thankful for fans who can keep the presence of mind and take all those great pictures! Smile Was great to meet you at the con and hope there will be more conventions to come!

Thank you Scott, what a fantastic shot! Will squirrel it away into my collection. Smile

And thank you everyone for kind words about Shivan - hopefully he'll be able to visit again, despite his feeble physique. Cool

Ohh, and there was another great photo by Hugbot of the momentous event which I missed: someone's being hit by a street Welsh sign for looking like a certain mercenary but being ginger. Smile Really that was some uncanny resemblance TT!

Down and safe. I got home yesterday and had to go to work today Sad

It was great to see everyone. I'm enjoying the pictures. My camera died, so I didn't get any.

Well, after 22 hours of traveling, including waiting for 3 jets to pass muster- and a long wait at the airport, and then our bus being an hour and a half late and taking 3 hours to get home at nearly 10 pm- we can report we made it home fairly safely and in one piece.

What can I say? Our British family, and there are plenty of them now, were simply wonderful to us and we had the time of our lives being shepherded around by them. We could not have had a better time at Maximum Power. A meeting of the family in so many ways. I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who came up and talked to us. We love meeting new and old fans alike. You were all so nice and it was a blast to get to know you. Also, a huge thanks to Clare for her gift. We did manage to force it into our luggage, Clare and love it so much! Thanks Jon and Becky for the tasty Welsh cakes. You are too kind. Thanks also to all the people who worked so hard to make MP such a hit it was. Andy, Phil, Wendy, Gary, Hazel, Dennis and Lucy, Sharon, and all the others who performed flawlessly in their jobs. And a big thanks to our dear friend Trevor Travis, who not only drove us all around Oxfordshire and surroundings for 4 days but shared some of his tombola prizes with me! I'll have memories to last a lifetime, Rob! So- in a nutshell, it was another blast of a time- our 9th trip to the UK and hey, when is the next con? We are exhausted, but very willing to come over again for the cause. I hope to have photos to share soon- but give us a few days, we both caught colds, I had an achilles tendon injury and then food poisoning- so we need a few days to recover! And still, I'd do it all again! That's the addiction of Blake's 7, fandom, and the U.K.

Edit: I had better explain the above photo. Trevor Travis gave us a ginger wig and goatee a few years ago as a gag gift. I brought the wig back and of course he donned it and we posed with the Welsh Street sign for a laugh. We first intended to drive to Residence One and hold up the wig as they did in the episode- the squirrel making a nest. But, being a private residence, we could only get so far so that photo did not happen. Funny thought, though. A real mad sad moment...

I just read all the comments in this thread and, oh, how I wished to have been there and meet you again/ meet the newcomers.
I can feel the atmosphere you describe and I have to confess that I never found a fandom that can give you what our B7 fandom does.
I am so happy to hear that the convention was a resounding success again in spite of the shadow caused by the recent passing.
I hope the Marie Curie Nurses charity made a good total amount.
Thank you for sharing your photos; I saw happy familiar faces and the Shivan Underhill was top cosplay!!!
Hope to meet you all again a next con!
