TV Years magazine - issue no. 5
Joe Dredd
"TV Years" magazine has so far produced four issues, themed around TV of the Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and, in the most recent issue (no.4), children's television.

Judging by their pre-announcement of issue no. 5 on Twitter, it seems the next one will have some B7 content. Presumably it will be SF themed.

Apropos of nothing...I was clearing out the last few boxes in our lock-up and came across some Red Dwarf comics.

And my Viz annuals.

Yes it will have Paul Darrow's interview, maybe the last one he ever gave:
Here's page 72 of the next issue of TV YEARS. It's a lovely interview by
@unloveablesteve
who, in May, spoke to the magnificent and much-missed Paul Darrow.

If I make to England this autumn I'll be looking for this magazine.

This may work (or not): Tweet of splash page for interview with Paul.

Interviewer Steve Berry. Given Phil Norman, Graham Kibble-White and others are around the place I assume this is the Steve Berry of "TV Cream".

I looked for this magazine in my local Tescos yesterday but no sign of it on the magazine shelves.

It's out on Tuesday 6th August.

They got in touch with Horizon and gave us some exclusive quotes from the interview with Paul Darrow. I've just done a news piece here:

The picture of Paul at FAB Café a little way down the thread was a big surprise as there I am in the background on the left of the photo, manning Paul's autograph table. A rare photo where I actually have my eyes open!

As I recall, Paul sat at the table with me until he'd worked his way through the queue, then spent the rest of the night into the early hours (FAB Café was open if not *all* night, stayed open very very late) working his way round the room sitting and chatting with people, as in this photo where he's chatting to Steve Berry, in between coming back to our table.

I'd helped with organising Paul's appearance there (after two previously with Gareth) and it was a huge success, with Paul on top form. Such a brilliant night - magical memories.

I ordered mine from the Gerry Anderson shop when I bought the UFO soundtrack cd...alas because the cd doesn't come out until next month and because I ordered the mag at the same time, I will have to wait. I can be patient. Got plenty of reading matter stacked up.

My local branch of WHSmith had some in stock. This should be a wonderful nostalgia fest.

Ordered mine direct from source. Hooray! I have a brother who's going to be jealous. To tell him or not to tell him? Hmmm. The next couple of weeks waiting for it to arrive will be agony.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron!GrinFrown
