Oh, dear, Joe, you’re on a roll!

Having had the chance to sort out some more photos...

Continuing towards the Federation post, it became apparent that the underground surveillance units were extensive...

...but the Federation were at least prepared to offer a warning.

The landing silo outside their objective was empty,

But perimeter security was still very obvious.

“We won’t get past that. We'll have to find another way in.” Blake was not put off. Everyone else began to envy Jenna her teleport duty, particularly when Blake led them to a rocky outcrop.

They peered doubtfully at the drop.

Scrambling down, however, they found...

“Do we have to? It’s all wet and dark in there...”

They had to.

Vila was not reassured when a break in the tunnel revealed

“What’s that!?”

Cally looked. “I’m sure it’s harmless.”

“It’s not legless, though, is it!”

“A condition you are no doubt well acquainted with,” remarked Avon, pushing ahead to join Blake. “Shall we... Ah.” He stopped as the far end of the tunnel became visible.

“Now what?”

I’ll have to work out what happens next, first!
The ‘underground surveillance units’ are the airport runway lights. The path from my house to the shops goes right through them (not, thankfully, across the runway itself!)

Took a different route for last week’s supply run, so I can now update you on the progress of the Liberator crew’s latest mission...

Having met a dead end, they turned back and trailed through the damp tunnel,

Then looked for another way in. At first things did not look hopeful. A potential entry hatch had security fencing all around it

And there was a sentry box ahead.

There were also some strange animals in the vicinity.

While they were working out if they should be worried, there was a ping from Blake’s bracelet.

“How are you getting on?” asked Jenna.

“There’s some curious creatures about,” Blake admitted. “We aren’t sure what they are.” There was a pause, then Jenna answered,

“Are they white?”

“Some of them are.”

“Orac says they’re harmless. The white ones are bred specially to provide the trimmings for Servalan’s winter coats.”

“So Orac is setting itself up as a fashion consultant now?” murmured Avon.

Perhaps thankfully, Blake did not answer this; but, reassured, they set off again, this time creeping stealthily across a bridge

which brought them to a large expanse of water.

“This reminds me somehow of Auron,” observed Cally.

“I hope you mean that, and not this,” said Vila, pointing to what remained of the Federation base.

“I think we might be a bit late. Can we go now?”

Brilliant idea Stormy. If I knew how to post pictures I’d join in!
Just because I can't sing doesn't mean I won't.

“It’s some sort of obelisk, I suppose,” said Blake.

(This one lacks a forcefield, unless you count the wind, which was strong enough to blow some idiot cyclist off the road... *whistles casually*...)
