Love Chris Barrie's impressions. Of course, it was his Spitting Image impressions (Grant and Naylor were head writers on that for a while - including writing the No 1 hit The Chicken Song) that got him this gig in the first place.

He's superb at impressions. I didn't know that's how he got this gig!

I also prefer original Holly to female Holly. Even though Hattie is good, there's just something so gloriously lugubrious about Norman.

He's so good at dead-pan, while completely selling Holly as a senile computer.

The low key dead pan delivery that Norman was famous for, was perfect for Holly.

I think Queeg is my second favourite episode of the whole lot, behind Stasis Leak.

My absolute fave is 'Thanks for the Memory' - funny, sad, and very clever.

We had that last week too - also brilliant! Both Thanks For The Memory and Stasis Leak were timey-wimey long before it was the fashion.

Since it is yonks since I watched RD, my fave episode is the one whose title I can't remember...
"We're in the centre of a mystical convergence here."

That's what was great about the early series - lots of real sci fi concepts alongside the sitcom laughs.

It was always more than just a sitcom.

Queeg is more of a standard comedy, but any Norman Lovett showcase has got to be brilliant!!

Although they had to fib to the BBC execs to get it through Wink "Sci-fi? Of course not!" Grin

Just realised Lister has a different tee on.

They had to make 'The Young Ones' in the Light Entertainment department in order to get it past the execs. Hence the musical numbers.

Travisina, do you remember our visit to TC6 when they revealed the walkways in the ship were actually the gantries of the studio, which shouldn't really be filmed, but they used them anyway, because it was a free set!

As with Stasis Leak, I watched Queeg a few days ago, so I could comment on it a bit more. Otherwise we end up with very few comments on here Wink
