I love the start to this, where they've just picked up a distress signal, and Avon thinks it'll be a promising place to get skilled new crew member or "even better, a hostage", lol.

(I'm not off to a good start, as my ipod was on random shuffle - but I think I've found my place again)

My computer started playing somewhere in the middle, so I'm a bit behind too Sad

Hope you get your place back. Sometimes I miss the simplicity of cassette tapes, lol. I find the relistens easier than the rewatches, but any technology is still a challenge for me on a weeknight.

It's Servazen.
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

Avon's plan here is as stupid as those in the TV episodes Wink

Yep. Servalan's plan to be captured by the crew and transfer her mind into the Liberator (or something not too dissimilar) seems risky as well.

Poor Zen. But what a brilliant concept! The crew are in so much danger now! It make me appreciate how nice Zen is to the crew.

Where is Orac in all this, watching on the sidelines with popcorn?

Ah, Vila does seem to like living on the Liberator (when the ship's not out to kill him). Vila is knowledgable on the ways the ship could kill them. Stupid of Tarrant to walk passed an airlock though.

Not popcorn Ram chips. (Stolen from Mystery Science Theater 3000)

Vila is as good as self-preservation as Avon, when he puts his mind to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's using the crisis as an exercise in filling in gaps in its knowledge of human suffering, but apparantly it's busy helping Avon.

Oh no, Dayna has to let Servalan live. Again!

Although it actually seems like a good idea to let her live long enough to foil her duplicate's plan to kill them all. They can always kill her afterwards though Wink

"Helping" is one way of putting it.

I love the way that Avon wakes Cally up from an extreme injury because he needs her skills. They so rarely make use of her telepathy, but need it just as she's near death. Such bad luck.

Is the 'teleport' actually a 'teleporter'. I honestly can't remember if it's ever called that any other time.

I think "teleporter" is a Big Finish thing, like Bridge instead of flight deck.

Zen Servie seems even more ruthless than actual Servie.

Avon: "It's Zen. It's still alive"

Orac: "Zen is an artificial construct. There is no definition by which HE may be considered alive.

I see why Avon replied "Shut up, Orac" to that!

That is an impressive level of ruthless Wink

She has renamed the ship, the nerve Sad

She never really gives this impression, but could actual Servie be ever so slightly less than totally ruthless due to being vulnerable to being killed/injured/tortured compared to the Servie in the ship?
