Zen is back - and all is well!

Interesting idea behind that one!

Thanks for your company - see you tomorrow for Trial!

I love the way that Avon wakes Cally up from an extreme injury because he needs her skills. They so rarely make use of her telepathy, but need it just as she's near death. Such bad luck.

Is the 'teleport' actually a 'teleporter'. I honestly can't remember if it's ever called that any other time.

I think "teleporter" is a Big Finish thing, like Bridge instead of flight deck.

Ah. Bridge sounds weird in these stories, but teleporter sounded like it might be the official long name for the teleport.
Avon: "Not enough! Not nearly enough! Dammit, what weighs seventy kilos?"
Orac: "Vila weighs seventy-three kilos, Avon."
Avon: "Vila, are you here? I need your help."

Well, that was good. See you all next time. 'Night.

Avon Zen sounds an even worse idea! Grin

It's a terrifying idea. Luckily, Avon knows himself well enough that he knows not to give himself control either!

That was great fun. Thanks all!

Good morning, all - just catching up with the thread and comments.
My views are my own.

VILA: I'm entitled to my opinion.
AVON: It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating.

I love the start to this, where they've just picked up a distress signal, and Avon thinks it'll be a promising place to get skilled new crew member or "even better, a hostage", lol.

(I'm not off to a good start, as my ipod was on random shuffle - but I think I've found my place again)

My computer started playing somewhere in the middle, so I'm a bit behind too Sad

Hope you get your place back. Sometimes I miss the simplicity of cassette tapes, lol. I find the relistens easier than the rewatches, but any technology is still a challenge for me on a weeknight.

The simplicity of cassette tapes! Ah, those were the days. An intrinsic part of courtship used to be creating mix tapes for each other. What do youngsters do now - share iTunes playlists?

I find it irksome - there are enough B7 experts at Big Finish who could advise on the terminology. I've kind of forgiven them inventing an observation deck on Liberator, but 'teleporter' and 'Bridge' are annoying.

Poor Zen. But what a brilliant concept! The crew are in so much danger now! It make me appreciate how nice Zen is to the crew.

Hmm. What about his 'lofty disinterest' and other limited behaviour, especially early on?

Where is Orac in all this, watching on the sidelines with popcorn?

Not popcorn Ram chips. (Stolen from Mystery Science Theater 3000)

I loved that series (we got it with Mike Nelson) - hubby and I still quote our favourite lines to each other!

Zen Servie seems even more ruthless than actual Servie.

There was an excellent fanfic I read years ago - I think it was called 'Conscience of the Queen', can't remember who wrote it. In this story, as Servalan teleports away from Libby in 'Terminal', Zen's essence (? soul?) merges with her and limits her actions throughout series 4. It 'protects' the former crew, which is why for example Servie can't bring herself to kill Avon or Tarrant when she has the opportunity.
