Big Finish full cast audios - 4.1 Crossfire: Paradise Lost
BradPaula
The landmine rouse. I well-known fallacy.
Zil: Oneness must resist the Host.

Oooh, the plot thickens. Avon has reasoned that it can't be Servalan that they're intercepting.

I can remember all of this story as it's happening, but nothing that's still to come...

"I hear the recommended procedure is to leap in the air and scatter myself over the surrounding area" <-- obligatory Blackadder reference.
Avon: "Not enough! Not nearly enough! Dammit, what weighs seventy kilos?"
Orac: "Vila weighs seventy-three kilos, Avon."
Avon: "Vila, are you here? I need your help."

JustBrad
He's still the president. The election was rigged.
Men of Harlech cease your dreaming, can't you see their street signs gleaming...

BradPaula
We never learn the former president's name, do we? Hugh Fraser is wonderful in this.

Mordicane.... sounds like an ointment.

Sigh....

I am so tired of the 'I stepped on a mine that will explode when I step off of it.' trope. Land mines don't work like that.

I just assumed that in the dystopian future, killing and maiming the enemy in war is considered less useful than irritating the enemy by making them stand really still on a land mine until one of their colleagues can make it safe.

I'm needing to concentrate on the story quite a bit. Interesting explainations from Mordecain and the old President on Servalan's actions during the war etc.

Is this the first time we encounter the Ointment? I can't remember if Mordicane is mentioned in the TV show.

He's never mentioned in the series. But he is a re-occurring character in these later audios.

There is a shampoo in the show (Selsun), but no ointment.

There is plenty of shaving cream and bubbles in Space Fall too!

I only know him as The President, The Former President or The Old President, but I'll be listening hard for his name! Yes, Hugh Fraser is wonderful! Although scary, lol.

The crew really should have words with their travel agent! Every relaxing resort they go to turns out to be the extreme opposite. Vila has the right idea, just staying on the ship and drinking.

That was fun. Glad I could make this one.

A lament shared by Ka' Dargo in Farscape..

Arms his Weapon and sighs. "Every Frelling Planet."

I really enjoyed that. And just about managed to follow it through tiredness, lol. I'm looking forward to next week's continuation...

Sorry to have missed this again-again. I'll catch up with the listen and the comments later.
My views are my own.

VILA: I'm entitled to my opinion.
AVON: It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating.
