Groundhog Day
I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
Till they got a hold of me.

I've got this weird feeling...have we been here before!?

Martial arts movie season for me - current favourites include Enter the Dragon (which would form the basis for every fighting game from the late 1980s onwards - IK+, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Tekken, you name it) starring the late, great Bruce Lee, both Drunken Master movies with Jackie Chan, the parody/tribute Kung Fu Hustle with Stephen Chow and Ip Man starring Donnie Yen.

Arctic, with Hannibal! Lector...

The Repair Shop. Particularly interesting watching the bookbinding sections, because I do some of that work myself.

Some of Richard Pryor's live stand-up material and some of his movies (particularly his collaborations with Gene Wilder) to mark what would have been his 79th birthday today.

Watching an episode of Heartbeat whilst eating my breakfast and who should turn up but everybody's favourite ginger mercenary. Looking very dashing in a flying jacket as an ex Wing Commander.

Kelly's Heroes, a 1970 war drama/comedy/heist movie with an all-star cast consisting of Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, Don Rickles and Telly Savalas.

Barry, a new HBO "Comedy" miniseries. Honestly, it is more like Breaking Bad with a very, very dark humour. Loved it.

Show me what you've seen

Sapphire and Steel, finally! Just finished the third adventure. The pacing can be a little slow but the plots are interesting and I'm especially loving the chemistry between Joanna Lumley and David McCallum. Also, David Collings (Deva!). Fun show, and quite spooky.

I love Voyage, always more Giants and Tunnel tho, Sapphire and Steel is super, though I was irked by the way Steel betrayed my namesake in the railway story. I met Joanna Lumley once on Leeds station, and she was wearing a straw boater...I thought I was dreaming...

A great piece of TV from the late 70s/early 80s which ran I believe from 1979 - 1981 (spooky that!)
