Big Finish 'B7: Spoils of War' Boxset - OUT NOW!

Big FinishBig Finish have announced the release of their long anticipated new B7 box set!

Produced and directed by John Ainsworth, Blake's 7 - The Spoils of War is set during Season C and stars Paul Darrow, Jan Chappell, Michael Keating, Steven Pacey and Jacqueline Pearce, with Alistair Lock as Zen and Orac.

Joining the cast for the first time is Yasmin Bannerman as Dayna. “Of course, we invited Josette Simon to return to Blake’s 7,” says producer John Ainsworth, “and although pleased to be invited, she declined the invitation. So, we’re delighted to welcome Yasmin as the new Dayna.”

Yasmin was not unfamiliar with Blake’s 7, having watched the series when it was first shown. “My brothers and I were huge Blake’s 7 fans as kids and watched every single episode,” she says. “Dayna was my heroine. I loved her. In an era when very few people of colour were seen on TV and fewer in any positive light, Dayna was a young black woman who was smart, accomplished, courageous, driven and kick-ass! She made me so proud. Needless to say I was absolutely gobsmacked to be offered the role. My brothers are thrilled!”

Liberation by Steve Lyons
Set immediately after the TV episode Powerplay, the story focuses on Dayna who is still getting used to being a member of the Liberator crew. In the aftermath of the Galactic War, everything has changed for Blake’s former associates. Having lost their leader, they are forced to work with new allies - people they can’t trust, and who may get them killed.
Joining the regular cast are Sara Powell as Rokon, Stephen Boxer as Tarkol and Daniel Collard as Aquila.

Outpost by Christopher Cooper
Set shortly after Powerplay, Tarrant and Vila are on a mission to the abandoned outpost Clivian 410B when a Federation taskforce attacks. The wary crewmates must learn to work together if they are to stand any chance of staying alive.
This episode stars Michael Keating, Steven Pacey and Yasmin Bannerman, with Sophia Hannides as Shuuna and Tracy Wiles as Valance / Roska.

Close Enough by Sophia McDougall.
When the crew of the Liberator are lured into a trap, it’s Avon’s life – and the freedom of the galaxy – that hang in the balance. Avon acquires an insight into what it is like to be a telepath, while Cally regains something she thought she had lost forever.
Paul Darrow and Jan Chappell star, and joined by Keith Drinkel as Dr Kaverin and Charlotte Watson as Imra.

Solus by George Mann
The Liberator responds to a distress call from the Solus research station, where Avon is hoping to find something valuable he can salvage. Instead, he finds only one survivor amongst the wreckage: President Servalan.

The 5th CD in the collection is a look behind the scenes, featuring interviews with the cast and crew.

Sound design and music are by Nigel Fairs and Luke Pietnik. Cover artwork is by Lee Johnson.

Blake's 7 - The Spoils of War is now available as a 5-CD box set or on Digital Download, and can be ordered here: Spoils of War. You can listen to a trailer HERE, and download a free excerpt from the first story, Liberation, HERE.
