Log-in issues: please remember, you must re-register (preferably using your original username) before you log into the upgraded site for the first time. Your original account for the old black 'n' orange site will no longer work.

The "images not appearing" problem in forum posts and signatures was a coding issue (not our fault!) and has been solved.

In response to valid points raised in user feedback the "auto-merge" of successive posts by the same poster in forums has been disabled. See this thread for more information.

10th Jan: Members only forum renamed back to Xenon Base. Some other forum names slightly changed for clarity. Merchandise forum established. Link to Horizon Twitter account added. Photo widget added to left panels.

8.30pm, Wednesday, January 8th. Welcome to the new-look Horizon website. Today's scheduled upgrade encountered some not entirely unexpected database compatibility problems and despite several attempts to repair/restore the site database from back-ups, it has been necessary to erase the existing database and perform a clean install of the site software.

Thanks to the efforts of the site staff, most content aside from the forum is safely archived and will be restored as quickly as we can manage. Sadly, the previous forum cannot be restored. We sincerely apologise for this, but it was an unavoidable loss.

If you were a member and wish to rejoin us, you will need to re-register for the site. We strongly suggest that you use your previous site username to facilitate registration and recognition.

Please bear with us while we restore content and solve any initial problems - we are doing what we can as quickly as we can to get the site back up and running.
