This is a pretty epic episode really. Federation council politics, a floating Space City, a mafia, druggies, a desert planet, weird alien fungi, a rogue super computer, a trans-dimensional alien taking possession of the local telepath, a psychedelic battle of the minds, the Liberator out-of-control... The production values are very high too (well...) |

Blake knows all about cacti? Ancient Earth fauna must have been one of his hobbies, when he wasn't killing people. So Blake knows everything...and nothing. Isn't that the definition of a fool? They don't know that they fauna yet, more flora. Mescaline was a bit of a drug of choice amongst groovy people on the USA west coast a little earlier than this was made. Basically, he used the only thing most of the audience knew of that grew in deserts, then. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Jan Chappell does the most amazing run down the side of the quarry I've ever seen at about 38m mark. Quite a tall heel and flowy robes down a very uneven and steep embankment but as sure footage as a mountain goat! Amazing she survived really She's evidently good at it, as we see later in Star One, when she runs up the side of a quarry with no difficulty. Even at that young age I'd have been puffing badly.
