Rewatch Downunder Saturday 13th June B11 Gambit
M1795537OCVirn
Starting at 7.30pm Downunder, 10.30am UK.

B11 Gambit
Somehow, both Blake and Travis have managed to end up in the same place again. As it turns out, Servalan was there first, and she is looking for any opportunity to shut down this Galactic gambling den. While the girls play dressing-up, Avon and Vila sneak off to play games of their own. Splendid costumes and some rather OTT acting enhance a fast-moving but fairly predictable plot. Who will make the first move? And will it be the right one? Join us to find out!

Hi Obsidian, Yes it would be awesome to still be in the UK particularly given how cold it is here. I’m well, how are you?

Agreed! My week went well, thank you, despite the weather being unseasonably and unreasonably cool. Last weekend was the 100km walkers, this weekend it's the Windermere Marathon (which goes past the door) and the Windermere Swim. This means an influx of hundreds of people, on roads built for horse-and-cart traffic, so our plan is to stay indoors and not even attempt to use the car.

Exhausted dealing with going through our friend's belongings and trying to work at the same time. Need a holiday. But gotta keep on going.

Even Mr. Obsidian thinks a holiday is due, so things must be dire.

Preparation is everything, especially since there's nobody daft enough to operate a delivery service here, where there are only people here for weekend 'events' or if the sun comes out. Made strawberry shortcake yesterday.

Oh come on. Yes, of course the south is quite a lot warmer, but there's been a huge difference between temperatures at the end of May and temperatures last week just about everywhere. It has been both cold and wet last week.

This miniature Orac stuff is stupid. If it could be done, why not do it all the time rather than cart that great big version around?

Plus, of course, the north of England is hardly 'the North' - nothing south of Inverness is really north, and to Shetlanders even that is the far south.

I wonder if the actors ever pointed that out to the directors, that they were missing vital opportunities. But I imagine Orac would have complained about being hoodwinked.
