Starting at 7.30pm Downunder and 10.30am UK (UTC+1) C1 Aftermath. We aren't told how long the Andromedan War lasted - days, weeks, months, years? But Servalan didn't even have time to change her frock before she ended up on Sarran, so it can only have been a few hours at best. Naturally, the Federation won the war, but its aftermath (see what i did there?) leaves our heroes scattered about the local galaxy. Somehow Avon manages to hold on to Orac, and proceeds to snog two women, neither of whom end up dead - yet. No sign of Blake, Jenna, Cally or Vila. Do hope they're all right. Oh, and no horses were harmed in the making of this episode. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Oh, and no horses were harmed in the making of this episode. Uh oh, I’m out of Blu-rays. Could be days, weeks, months or years later and Servalan just washed her dress and is now re-wearing it. Hand washed of course, I can just see her in the bathroom, dunking it up and down in soap suds. Blake and Jenna aren’t around for this episode, they are on a different planet helping the wounded. But not to worry they’ll return next week, destroy the Federation and live happily ever after. See you soon. :-) |

You girls all have such a keen eye for clothes, I missed that too. But we have another clue that the war lasted only a few hours at most: with the level of power discharge required to maintain the force wall and operate the neutron blasters, the Liberator wouldn't have lasted long. Any high-tech war would be this short, unless it is a global deception. Who is being deceived and who is the deceiver? Just look at whose pockets are getting lighter and whose are getting heavier, and whose control is increasing - of the population over the government, or the opposite. Have a nice rewatch! |

Clothes matter, interglactic. One can tell a lot about someone from what they wear, and the way they wear it. I certainly hope someone cleaned Servalan's frock in the time between series! But I think the sort of fabric she prefers would be dry-clean only. No suds, Tyce. Good to know Blake and Jenna won't be bothering us this week though.

That first spaceship looks like it's drifting in the gravel round a space curve.

Alhough sadly I think she would get a mutoid to do it for her. |

I say surely blowing up Star One would’ve been a massive explosion, wouldn’t that have blown up the Liberator (and other ships in the vicinity) at the same time? |

These new titles for S3 are interesting! They show Liberator chased by three pursuit ships. Apart from the opening intergalactic war montage, do we see any pursuit ships in this series? I can't recall. I know in S4 they're only seen in 'Stardrive'. The focus of the show is changing... |

Since we're all within the Milky Way and can barely get outside our own solar system, how do they know what it looks like from a vantage point of very very far away? There are several systems in depending on where things are located. The Sun provides the datum for everything in our solar system, for example. Then there are all those nice radio telepscopes out there are used for mapping. The Canberra environs have done quite well in that respect with Honeysuckle Creek formerly and Tidbinbilla now. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

'Star One' is used interchangeably as the planet, and the base on the planet. Which makes me wonder how big the base was, given it was meant to control millions of computer systems across the Federation. Would it have taken up most of the planet? If so, would six people be enough to maintain it? |

When we see the planet Star One, there are lights dotted over it in a grid, suggesting that the were numerous subsidiary control points, probably aimed at different parts of Federation territory. This is when Avon needed to shrink Orac, although I doubt if Orac would be taken in by that trick again.
