I wonder if those are seals loafing around on the rocks there?

Damn - missed them! But almost certainly - there are loads of grey seals on the Farne Islands.

Saw a few flopping around out there. None are like our local, Tasmanian Neil the Seal – yet.

Neil the Seal just wants to be left alone, he also wants to take over Tasmania but that’s another story…….

Neil is a National Treasure.

The dialogue between Servalan and Dayna is marvellous. Josette is gorgeously naïve playing Dayna and Servalan is beautifully arch.

Since Dayna has been in hiding from the Feds all her life, I'm surprised she even speaks to Servalan.

Avon, you commented on Blake's ethics all the time.

That's very kind of you! But I really didn't enjoy it last year - people were so unfriendly, and although the cast were interesting, it was a rather lonely experience. It would be more of a draw if I knew other people who were going, to be honest.

But I'm so sorry you aren't going to be able to make it.

By people, read boys. I could possibly rustle up a couple of boys who aren't too bad. Will get back to you. If not, I might make it a last-minute bid-for ticket somehow.

What a horrible little table, even if they did put silver tape on the legs.

She's bursting for some socials. After all, there's no FB, IG or Tik-Tok.

Avon: "I seldom comment on other people's ethics."

Cut to - two hours of flashbacks from S1 and S2.

AnneArthur
I have just googled Neil the Seal - grey seals would be quite a bit smaller, with rather dog-like faces. And they don't invade the streets of Bamburgh!

I like the design of the yellow ship.

Some other cool gear, though, including the glass on the drinks trolley and the white chairs. Took a while to find the decanter, which is Orrefors.

That would make a considerable difference. Last year was so disappointing - I had imagined it might be a bit like this forum, but no-one seemed to want to talk to anyone they didn't know already. The management should have done more to get people to mix, IMO.

No, Neil is a Southern Elephant Seal. He's still a youngster. He'll be dead ugly and a lot bigger by the time he grows up. Grey Seals are cute.

Presumably it's Klegg and his men - but it doesn't look like a Federation military ship.

Well, at least Avon still has his head screwed on properly, but I wouldn't believe Servie about there being no Federation but she's the President. Something doesn't add up, somehow.

I always assumed that that was Tarrant arriving before the Feds turn up.

I hadn't thought about it before, but when the Sarrens were attacking the hatch, Dayna picked up the gun Avon had tested and started punching a code into the top. Mellanby explained earlier that the gun could be programmed with patterns. That means that, although Mellanby had forbidden using their weapons for killing, Dayna had already programmed Sarrens into her gun, ready to go. It doesn't mean she was planning on killing any of them, but she'd certainly thought about it.

But I think Klegg reminds Tarrant in the next episode that he got there first - or have I got that wrong? But Tarrant in a stolen ship seems more likely somehow.

There's an invisible forcefield that does the same job. You can't see it but it doesn't come untucked and you don't need to wash it.

Re-shaping the Federation in her own image probably means managing without annnoying things like a High Council, or any other representative (or elected) advisory body. And possibly even the Justice System. Unless and until it had all been remodelled to her satisfaction,

That's exactly how I see it. Why doesn't Avon see it? Hal Mellanby ought to know better too.

Servalan was sneaking around outside. The camera focused on her foot as if she was about to step on a bear trap -- but suddenly a Sarren runs in from the side and barges her to the ground. Talk about misdirection.

One of the best exchanges in B7 for me:

'I shall want a gun'
'There is only one'
'I only want one...'

Done to perfection by two very good actors. Great stuff.

Why did Avon have two teleport bracelets? Don’t tell me one for him and one for Orac. LOL

And the first of many occasions when Dayna talks, rather than shooting Servalan.

It goes well with Avon & Vila's exchange in "Rescue".

"Er, your wouldn't like to leave the gun, would you?"
"That's right. I wouldn't."
