"Terran Federation" almost perfectly contains "Terry Nation"

Ungraded Posts: 7 Joined: 15.06.26	I mentioned this on the Reddit, and thought it was pretty funny. "Terran Federation" has 10 of the 11 letters in "Terry Nation" in almost exactly the right order. Just to illustrate how close it is: Terran Federation -> Terr(an Feder)ation -> Terr (n)ation -> Terry Nation Was he trying to tell us something? Was it really the Federation's show all along? After all, while the title names Blake's crew, the logo for the series is the Federation's logo. I'm just joking and it's obviously a coincidence, but wouldn't it be funny if there were a lot of shows which accidentally had most of their creators' names in one of their organisations? I can't think of any other examples offhand.

Beta Grade Posts: 592 Joined: 09.02.26	Good observation, Tilren. Few times mentioned "Federation territory" ->Terr(itor)y (Feder)ation - still the first "n" missing. If Terry wanted such a thing he would have done it properly. I think there are many hidden messages in B7, but I don't think they are encoded as a word/letter combinations/permutations. Anyway if you find something interesting let us know.

It would make sense since there's so much ST inspiration for B7, even with the logo. Though in this case, I think "Federation" was just choosing a name for an organisation. You could have "Terran Coalition" (which wouldn't work so well) "Association" "Organisation" "Corporation" "Company" etc. It's funny how mainly in the first episode, they talk more about the "Administration"

That's what I thought too, but it's fun seeing this interpretation as an (albeit unlikely) possibility, which I'd never spotted before.
