Rewatch Downunder Saturday 2nd DecemberD10 Gold
M1795537OCVirn
Starting at 8.30pm Downunder and 9.30am in the UK.

D10 Gold
In which Roy Kinnear almost stole the show with his portrayal of Keiller, Purser of the pleasure cruiser Space Princess.
Our heroes think they have out-plotted the Federation to steal a shipment of the eponymous yellowish material, only to discover that the stuff has turned black, and that Servalan, as usual, has an even better scheme. And some rather good boots. Whereas Keiller finds that money isn't everything.

Hi people, Are you all well?

Snow! I heard on Oxford radio that the north of Scotland and the north of England and the south of England and the south of Scotland would be in for WEATHER. Well, that could be the entire island...

Hi, Tyce and Obsidian. Yes 'snow', if this measly half an inch (if that) could be called snow. But we're forecast for snow all day, so it might look better later. MInd you, although I live near the highest mountains in England, we hardly ever get enough to make a decent snowman.
How's things downunder?

Oh, sorry to hear that your mum has issues but good to know that they are manageable. Are you going back there for Christmas?

This opening 'docking' sequence was more believable 45 years ago.

Yes, it is a bit daggy, but remember that Tarrant's craft docked beautifully with Liberator so the idea wasn't unknown.

Hello everyone. I have just misheard Dayna as saying that she would have to take a spare mac - must be near Obsidian! It's bitterly cold here. We had a little snow on Thursday, but since then the default York option of freezing fog. Still, I got a day's teaching at Easingwold yesterday, which will help to rescue my financial situation a little.

It's actively snowing here now. A first for my kittens. They've come indoors. Maybe they do have some sense after all.

Roy Kinnear was my English teacher's brother-in-law. He's excellent in this.

Grin Don't worry: I looked sideways at the episode selection and saw 'Watford' instead of 'Warlord'.

Good news about work AnneA. But you're too close to the foggy North Sea there.

I have seen similar ones in more recent sci-fi shows, however.

Our Coon cats have always taken themselves outside to look at the rain when it's wet. The 'new' one screamed and yelled when we put her out there. Sheesh!

Grin The one place in Britain where snow isn't forecast, perhaps?

I stumbled upon the local football team putting up unexpectedly stiff resistance against a much higher ranked team on TV last night. The combination of fog and floodlights in the stadium was very atmospheric.

That style of ankle boot was very clicketty-clack. I used to have some – Italian, bought at a black-market town on the Syria-Lebanon border. I would make that heel-dragging noise on purpose. Very purposeful. NOT for tippy-toeing.

There's going to be a whole generation of Blakes 7 fans coming up who don't know that the door lock in the Zerok vegetable processing plant is the hood for an old payphone. It looks very tacky to me - but might well not to them.

Christmas with family...for avariety of reasons we always 'do' the family thing on the 24th, so that everyone is free to be with the other in-laws/grandparents/whatever - or even stay home alone - on the Day. Seems to work quite well.
