Rewatch Downunder Saturday 18th April B3 Weapon
M1795537OCVirn
Starting at 7.30pm Downunder, 10.30am UK time.

B3 Weapon
Almost too much going on in this one - again. I think I recognise Mr Boucher's work here. Let's see...a mad scientist, a brand new kind of weapon, a dead Blake, second (much more polite) Blake, a Blake who notices a girl, Clonemasters, Psychostrategists, a power station. Servalan in two different outfits - including a furry anorack - and a strange man with an eyepatch. How is all this going to fit into one episode, and still make sense? Join us to find out!

G'day, Aussies. Anyone about down there?

good evening. Here and watching.

M1795537OCVirn
good to hear from you again, Cashaverre. Hope all's well with you. I'd better start!

Hello everyone. I seem to be early for once! So good to hear about the return of the prodigal cat, Ms Virn.

Is the exploding ship at the very beginning the same one that is used in series 4 to prove the effect of Feldon crystals?

M1795537OCVirn
Cheera, AnneA. The cat is definitely back, and has spent the last week following me around, hardly going out and definitely needing reassurance. We think she was probably shut in somewhere accidentally.

it is vaguely familiar!

'Blake's Little Schemes' - sounds about right.

Sorry, on the phone to someone about friend with dementia and our p'ed-off-edness at her treatment by family. Oh dear. Mr. Coser's predicament has nothing on this situation.

Might catch you later.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Sorry, 7.30 is a bit early for me. I’m sort of around but I can’t watch right now.

M1795537OCVirn
Travis 2 being pathetic, Servalan being herself, as always.

That sounds likely. Anyway, she's back.

You really must sort out a better viewing location, Tyce. Bed at 7,30pm is a bit early for anyone.

I've never thought of it before, but this time it struck me. I'll need to check them both sometime.

Blake's 'How long is eventually?' is either really profound, or really stupid.

Sounds very trying - poor you!

He's rather apt to say things like this, isn't he? I suspect he does it to give himself time to think, while the person he is speaking to is trying to work out whether he's being profound or stupid.

Still not sure how this bondslave thing works.it sounds like it's something different from plain slavery. Do people sell themselves and work off the bond? Or perhaps minor criminals can work off their sentence? Or slave-owners can hire their 'stock' out for a set term? Any ideas?

The Clonemasters are a bit dodgy, really, especially in the Big Finish stories.

Hello Md Virn, AnneArthur, Cashaverre, I'm finally here.

Sorry I'm late. I've got this note from my Mum.

M1795537OCVirn
Travis 2 is often 'taken by surprise', I think, judging by what's left after he's been around.

Where are we up to?

I'm not sure but I think it might be the one that blows up at the start of 'Rescue' - the ship Servalan mines on Terminal.

Hi Joe Dredd. For some reason the system hasn't been letting me post for the last few minutes - hope it's working now.

That would be another possibility - I didn't think of that one!

M1795537OCVirn
Carnell miscalculated? That's quite an accusation, Servalan. So I don't think it's a good idea to trust his 'cunning plan'. He might make another mistake, like forgetting Coser had the girl with him.

Or a slave bound to serve one master, perhaps?

It tried to stop me as well. Must be tired or something. It can't cope with our enthusiasm.

Same here - "503 backend fetch failed". I've only just got back on.

M1795537OCVirn
I think Servalan is already regretting the way her tekkies reprogrammed the new-look Travis, He's too keen on shouting at her. One does not raise one's voice to the Supreme Commander and get away with it.

I'm sure it gets used in S1 too but I can't remember where.

It means it has had too many requests for the same action - we were posting too fast for it!

"A disobedient slave can be modified", says Rashel. Meaning, turned into a mutoid?

No, I only went to bed early to watch season one because I wanted to watch the Blu-ray. I don’t have season two on Blu-ray yet so I can watch the DVD in my lounge room.

My problem with 7:30pm is that I’m still doing things, as soon as I sit down to watch TV, that’s the end of my day and I feel a bit slack
ending my day at 7:30 pm.

But oh well, it is what it is.

I like this episode, there are three Blake’s!’
