Well, I reckon this is rollicking, roistering fun! I may need to go to Avebury tomorrow, though.

It's called a cliffhanger, Anne. And they caught you good and proper. The rest of us are only watching to find out what CB's going to come out with next.

I'm worn out. I'm going to stick 'Out of the Blue' on. (OSP will understand that reference.)

I'm up for it - then we can get a Quatermass in before Eurovision.

Right - have we settled on going for a hat trick of episodes next week or not? Do we need to tell TT that the people have spoken?

I am going to mention the 3 episodes and the breaks in between during Tuesday's rewatch so we get a consensus of opinion before the event.

I say 'yes' and we send OSP into the negotiating chamber on Tuesday to broker a deal. Motion carried??

Just quickly - what a great rewatch yesterday! Have just had a glance back over it. Some very funny comments that I missed during the hubbub!! Avon walking out of the shower Dallas-style.... Priceless.

Regarding future rewatches, it occurred to me - as CotS is going so well - that the nearest equivalent I can think of (spooky village, paganism, odd locals, general weirdness, morris dancing, the Master in a dog collar) is the Dr Who 'Daemons' story I mentioned a while back. Maybe worth slotting that in, post-Eurovision, if people are in a CotS frame of mind??? Lots of second-hand DVDs on Amazon for a fiver-ish.

M1795537OCVirn
Personally, I think it's only fair that we back up something with Blake in it with Servalan's ' Moondial' epic BBC children's serial from 1988. It requires about the same level of intelligence as CotS, though with slightly better costumes and effects. And JP, of course.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet found anywhere that we can stream the whole thing for free. Any ideas?
In the yawning gap this creates, I repeat my earlier statement, ie I'd watch anything with Roger Delgado as The Master, even if it is DW. But isn't Quatermass supposed to come next?

Professor Quatermass and I are besties, of course - plus there's scandalously little good telly these days on experimental rocketry. So an imminent Quatermass binge sounds brilliant. I was thinking about after that, but can get behind 'Moondial' under duress.

Quatermass 1st obvs. A Daemons rewatch would have me in raptures. Happy to try Moondial cos have never seen it.

Nightmare Man? (In "kids" tv mode) stone tapes? Mr james ghost stories (originals)?

Btw which Quatermass?

At first I read that as Mister James, then I twigged. A mahoosive 'yes' to those! Absolutely awesome!

As for Quatermass, what do you think? I suppose it depends on what people have in their DVD collections and what's freely available online. I've got the first three movies on DVD; Q1 and Q2 look like they're on YouTube, but not the Pit. TV-wise, Q2 is on YouTube but only two episodes of Q1, and again I can't see the Pit. Moving on to Q4 from 1979, I can only find episodes 3 & 4 and no sign of the movie version.

Here's my daft thought for the morning. If 'Daemons' comes off at some stage, well - it was filmed at Aldbourne which is less than 15 miles from Avebury. Do Horizon still do location visits?? Double bubble (toil and trouble)? #JustSayin'
