Surely a thing like that would leave a crater half the size of Britain. But the land came through a nuclear holocaust and was growing huge old oak trees again a few weeks later.

If that's what you think marriage is like, Harrison F did well to get away.

Not only that, but it's solved the political situation as well. Happiness and plenty again.

Let's hope nobody tries that kind of solution!

In the book, it leaves a crater. But those end scenes are not necessarily the place where joe kapp's stones werd...ahem, so to speak...

See - it even blew a hole in the book!

I still think the second one was the best. But they were all very interesting.

Yes. The first couple of episodes were really good though.

Try the film version. Maybe the balance of the story works better for you in the shorter version.

If we could unlearn 'all the words' and go back to what we knew in 1979, maybe some of that would make some sort of sense.

I was just thinking that! I think watching the whole thing through from start to finish would work a lot better. Today I know I just wasn't in the mood for it.

The Prisoner? Or not sci-fi enough?

Thanks for suggesting these, anyway - I'd heard a lot about them, but never seen them. And I did enjoy them.

The Prisoner is ok, a bit weird and it went on much too long, but I can cope with it.
I've recently remembered there was 'V'. Terrified me back then. Well, some bits did. A bit gruesome, but so was Q. Also very long. and very American. Maybe one day?

Which boss are you talking about?
