I wonder if this episode was inspired by The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?

I’ve always quite liked his work in Trek. The original series was a bit wacky at times, but that was the era, and one reason why it’s fun to watch. ;-)

I agree.

I prefer some over acting with good story over wooden acting with weak story and cgi effects to make up for it.

Agreed, I’ll take old-fashioned effects with a good story and actors any day.

At least this episode ended better for Kirk than Jekyll and Hyde’s story.

I love the set lighting on this series. No idea why, probably just nostalgia because I grew up watching re-runs.

The Enterprise is my favorite character—though the kids tell me that a ship doesn’t count. It totally does.
