If B7's 'Duel' is Danny Dyer, Trek's 'Arena' is Edward III. Massively entertaining - though admittedly not always for the right reasons. Quite a good episode if you like a Stuntman Drinking Game - Kirk's & Spock's (quite convincing) doubles provide several opportunities for a tipple. Magic moment: when it looks like the Gorn is about to break into a medley of Rodgers & Hammerstein showstoppers. And what the hell is he/it wearing? Something from The Great British Sewing Bee's transformation round, perhaps. I don't get the references I'm afraid. If this is Edward III, he hasn't yet convincingly outwitted his mother and her lover, or made war on France. |

I don't really remember this episode at all, apart from the actual fight with the Gorn. I think that’s because everyone have parody from Big Bang theory etc iconic I plan to live forever,or die trying.
