Spotted Steven Pacey playing a Dutch brain surgeon who goes mad after (as he thinks) summoning the Devil, in tonight's Van der Valk. Very impressive, and took me quite some time to recognize him - sadly not a part that called for that trademark grin! |

I just hope that our Clare didn't go all weak at the knees at the sight of that bare chest!!!! Also, Our Uncle Tel was busy with his typewriter again yesterday, with the episode of The Saint. It had Mr Patrick Allan as the guest baddy. A very young Paul Daneman also turned up in The Adventures of Robin Hood on Saturday morning. Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! Vernon 'Chairman' Dobtcheff appears in an episode of The Protectors, 'It could be anywhere on the island'. You have to watch this, I can only imagine that the cast and crew knew exactly what they were doing... it's like a 'Carry On...' You can watch The Protectors here: https://ok.ru/video/c5039565 The episode mentioned is S0124 Edited by Deva on 08-07-2023 11:08 "Time really is getting short, you know..."

I thought that as well. They just said that Dr Who was filmed there (rather like that guide at Wookey Hole until we B7 mob put her right on that matter!!!!!) Cold! Dicken Ashworth aka Gun Sar in Power spotted playing a bouncer in an episode of HAZELL. Well worth rewatching for fans of 1970s Brit crime shows. Very character led but the stories are excellent too.

Love Hazell, great show. I wish they had kept Dot Wilmington and Vinnie Rae in the second series. I think Peter "Chewbacca" Mayhew also appears as a body guard in one episode. He's seriously tall! |

Loved Hazell as well, and the amazing Maggie Bell singing the theme song. Recently spotted David Ryall (aka Selman, Cygnus Alpha) as Bert Middleton "The Oldest Man in Britain" in The Village. Of course, he also appeared alongside Mr. Darrow as the slimy Abbott of Grantham in The Legend of Robin Hood. Probably appeared with many others in other shows, but this is how I best remember him because it was also the show in which I first clocked Mr. D as a person to watch. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Watched the final episode of Porridge last night where Mr. Barraclough and Fletcher discuss the effectiveness of prison. Fletcher says something along the lines of "At the end of the day, nobody wins, we all lose," Now this sounds suspiciously similar to Stephen Pacey's line at the end of Terminal. Which made me wonder if Mr. Nation was a fan of Porridge? Or could just be a coincidence. |

The lovely David Jackson in the Saint last night in the episode The Spanish Cow. This was his second appearance. The first time as a student who, who with his chum, were admiring Mr Templar's ability to attract the ladies, this time, he was a South American thug, working for Gary Raymond. And unfortunately, our David got to admire Mr Templar's fighting ability first hand!!! Thud, crash, ouch!!!!

I'm told that a recent episode of "Outlander" (s7e7, "A Practical Guide for Time-Travellers"), which aired on 28th July, included a scene set in 1980 where some children are watching B7. We see a brief moment of 'Terminal', when Avon is alone on the flight deck with his eyes covered. Good to see Paul Darrow still cutting a swathe in a 2023 production. |

Loved Hazell as well, and the amazing Maggie Bell singing the theme song. The theme song is great, though it does make me smile to see the "You trusted in the bottle and the bottle let you down" line visually paired with the silhouette of Hazell opening a can of beer. ![]() |

Just watching the film The House That Dripped Blood (1971). Not one but two B7 stars appear in the first ten minutes. John Bryans (Bercol in S2 and Shrinker in S3) and John Bennett who played Coser in S2 and also appeared as Li H' Sen Chang in the classic Dr.Who story Talons of Weng Chiang. |

I'm not into gaming but the other day I was reminded of two games that were all the rage when we were young - the RPG Traveller (which was heavily influenced by Earl Dumarest) and the computer game Elite (which in turn was heavily influenced by Traveller). When I checked if they were still around I stumbled on Oolite, which is essentially a remake of the original Elite with modern graphics. And there are (user made) extensions with new missions, new planets, new capabilities - and new ships. And there she blows! By the way, there is also an extension with monasteries of the order of the Black Monks who are a bunch of nasty loan sharks. Good to see that they also covered the obligatory Blackadder reference... |

The lovely David Jackson was in The Larkins again last Sunday playing the role of Lofty. I think he'd a bus driver. Anyway, he was getting on down to a Beatles record this time and playing cricket in the back yard and even got to shake Pete Murray's (a early Disc Jockey) hand. David appears in about 14 episodes according to IMBD. Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!! The delightful Sylvia Coleridge, the croupier in Gambit, had a recurring role in The Lotus Eaters, a tv series from 1972 which I am currently watching. I was having a look at her acting history and discovered she is the mother of Kate Coleridge who played Levett in Mission to Destiny. How did I not know this? Are there anymore related guest stars in B7?
