Devil in the Dark, S01 E25 Captain Kirk and Mr Spock beam down to the planet Janus IV following a distress call and discover that more than 50 workers there have been hideously slain by an unknown monster. And a whiff of the great 'Plague of the Zombies', of course. PotZ slightly pre-dates this, I believe. Plus, for the viewer, it all begs the key question: when did an important piece of YOUR machinery last go missing? Don't think I've seen my orbital sander for a while. |

I do love a retrospective coincidence. Walked into The Fox in Steventon this lunchtime and what should be playing on the radio but T'Pau's 'China in Your Hand'! Then, 10 minutes later, out popped AL's big hit from 1983! My second nifty coincidence of the week. (I won't bother you with the first, which involved Dire Straits' 'Lady Writer', the historian Marina Warner and pseudo-historian Henry Lincoln.) |
