The Libby can only follow the rule book if Zen is in charge

Incidentally, going back to our discussion of the use of 'thee', there's a lot of 'tha' around here. As in 'Isthareet?". Is tha some subvariant form of thee?
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

AnneArthur
Well, that was really dramatic - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do sort of remember it, but not very well. I can only have seen it a long time ago.

Dialect version of 'thou'? Thou being the nominative, thee the accusative?

As in 'Where hast tha been since i saw thee?' (On Ilkley Moor baht 'at . . .)

The last line rather let it down, but that was indeed good.

Like Anne, it's a memorable episode, but from a long way back. Great suggestion. Can't remember what comes next, but I've written it down somewhere...

Yes. Not as good an ending as last week's ep, as I recall. A bit of tweaking needed.... I would have preferred a semi bitter reflective phrase...

Exactly. Except it is often shortened to just 'ta' (as in 'weer astabin sin asaw thee' ).

It it something to do with the Great Vowel Shift, then?

Anyway, I exepct you're both itching (geddit) to be off now. So goodnight, and I hope the episode was cheering for you both.

Great to see you both - and an excellent episode. Glad I could make it! See you next week.
