Dunno. It always amuses me that most 'alien' races turn out to be humanoid, with either added bits or different colours. Still, it's better than Decimas.

I rather like the decimas! Certainly cuter than these Klingons.

How can you like decimas? Squeaky killers, all of them!

Well, now...as Avon would say. Sfx only go so far...most aliens are humanoid cos it's the best way to tell the story....in those days anyway

I would have said that they are humanoid because they have to be played by human actors.

And a lot cheaper than trying to come up with something properly alien.

I suppose you know about Scott's finger....

Did he get it out? Do tell. I know you want to.

LOL.... he has no middle finger on his right hand. Watch how he hides his hand when on screen

The real alien here is a light effect. I think I prefer Klingons.

Kert Rats did try to have non-humanoid aliens sometimes - the orange swirly thing being a case in point. I think they did quite well at making aliens believable, even if they are often invisible or formless. Why not - they could well be!

Or, in this universe, by the Klingons? But how interesting. Thank you.

That was more than 20 years before. He must be 40 or more in this.

That wall display behind the Klingons looks like a BR train control layout.

These close-ups are a bit too close on my screen. I'm only getting noses.

All this series has been like this. The edges are cut off - it's very disconcerting.

The solution is simple. Buy the boxsets!

True, but I don't have that kind of money to spend on something i would only watch very occasionally.

Transporting within the ship? Interesting. I wonder if Orac could make that happen on Libby? Might prove useful - perhaps especially for Vila. (They'd make him test it anyway).

It's catching.

Actually I thought that was quite an effective end. Alien departs, to universal ridicule. I thought it was going to turn into some sort of sententious humanoid and explain itself.
