Did CB really want us to watch this one? I wouldn't think it was his sort of film. Great stuff. He must have good taste once in a while. Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

We're all compost in the end. He just went there a bit sooner.

We're all compost in the end. He just went there a bit sooner. Compost! It was a bit more magical than that. Well, it is in the book. The film slightly dumbed down the "explanation" at the end. Edited by OneSparePart on 18-04-2024 20:12 Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

A slumber did my spirit seal; I had no human fears: She seemed a thing that could not feel The touch of earthly years. No motion has she now, no force; She neither hears nor sees; Rolled round in earth's diurnal course, With rocks, and stones, and trees. Compost, see? *Did him at college. Here's an image: just made my dad a cup of tea. I put a saccharin in and it landed on the teabag. I watched it slowly melt away into nothingness...

I'm wondering who trained the spider...and how. Hear Jack Arnold talking about how he made this film, especially the cat and spider scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z4J8...z4J89KF1AA |

And after all that, he still had to go back and patch in all the dialogue and sound tracks. Such a lot of work! "You're not sulking, I hope?"

He must have good taste once in a while. Eff me. That's a trifle harsh. Stick to demonstrable facts: my displays of good taste are actually a triannual occurrence. Not enough jokes in this thread btw. |

But are you brave enough to look The Wasp Woman in the eye? She's on YouTube, just waiting to be swatted with Horizon's rolled-up newspaper. And I do love a bit of xylophone on a soundtrack. (I'm certain you do too.) High-class hokum with serious messages about prejudice against women in business, the hazards of questing for eternal youth blah blah blah. You're the Gaffer, of course. Just my contribution to your feverish deliberations... |

Please don't make me watch Wasp Woman....![]() Here's the deal: IF you are definitely going to be there this Thursday, we will do Wasp Woman (insert hollyhocks here). If you are NOT here, we will do a great film. I will post both options and we'll see... Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

Hollyhocks?? Well, yes. We need to encourage pollinators. So, ethically, it's incumbent on me to rewatch Wasp Woman. 'WASP' pronounced 'WOSP', of course. AND LOOK WHOSE NAME'S IN THERE! #JustSayin' |
