Is that a Borgia-style ring?

I wouldn't know if they threw it at me, sorry.

Absolutely worth it.
After the war is over, a radioactive cloud begins to sweep southwards on the winds, gradually poisoning everything in its path. An American submarine captain is among the survivors left sheltering in Australia, preparing with the locals for the inevitable. Despite his memories of his wife, he becomes close to a young woman struggling to accept the harsh realities of their situation. Then a faint Morse code signal is picked up, transmitting from the United States and the submarine must set sail through the bleak ocean to search for signs of life.

Stick with the book rather than the film.

Do you know where one can obtain such drugs? For experimental purposes only, you understand.

I would have thought that the President of the Terran Federation would know that sort of thing.

She probably does. I just thought it might help if I showed her some new ones.

For that matter, tell me about Borgia rings. Are they of interest to a Federation officer?

Rings with a compartment for poison, which could be released into a drink. I associate them with the Borgias, but I think that they were used as far back as the Roman empire.

How did he get access to weapons? Surely they must suspect him?

The weapons locker was left open. Ok I can accept that. But the crew are a bit dimwitted

And all's well that ends well. Did we every find out who bowtie man was working for, or did I miss that?

M1795537OCVirn
Nice uniforn pyjamas, folks. Well done, the Admiral, even if your crew are a bit thick. Thank goodness baddies can't shoot straight.

He did have a sort of European accent going on. But it might have been a ruse to throw people off the scent.

And thank goodness - for Sharkey - their grenades are only effective to the depth of one person.

All the baddies in these 60s shows - think mission impossible - had accents that you can't quite place...
