Weird Wednesday Watchers...YOU Decide!
Cygnus Bazza
Are we going WET GECKO 2 or CRUD CLUB 7 for our next midweek cinematic feast later this month??? All these suggestions are on: O(S)P’s favourite internet archive…Internet Archive, so we can watch a bonus episode of UFO while we’re waiting for M1 to finish felling her coppice; or boring old YouTube.

WET GECKO:
- Fritz Lang’s ‘Metropolis’ (1927): featuring an iconic Heavy Metal Lady
- ‘Waxworks’ (1924): Ivan the Terrible, Jack the Ripper and the Great Weimar Bake-off, in one handy anthology!

CRUD CLUB:
- ‘The Monolith Monsters’ (1957): meteorite, desert, strange rocks, “Gee! Ology!” You know the drill (so to speak)
- ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’ (1957): Bela Lugosi & Vampira turn up, which is a turn up. Racked up a host of awards, none of which you’d want to be awarded

Over to YOU guys...

I suppose we can rotate between Wet Gecko and Crud Club monthly if the rest of you would agree to that. I'll vote for doing a Crud Club film and Monolith Monsters sounds good to me. I probably saw MM for the first time in 1965 so it is known to me.

Brad agrees, he'd like to to MM for the Crud Club and next month do a Wet Gecko film.

What do the other esteemed members think?

I think I've seen Plan 9, wouldn't mind seeing it again, but MM seems a likely choice. I don't care whether/when we're WET or CRUD as long as we have fun.
Point of order: I don't have a coppice. Yet.

Alternate watches work for me. I haven't seen Monolith Monsters - except for clips - so I'm quite excited about this. Family life willing, that is. I was looking at Target Earth for the Crud club...does that count? It's not amateurish but the acting is bad....

Not seen it. Never heard of it. Right in our wheelhouse.
