Look him up. It's time you learned what real music is!

When I finish listening to Egg.

Now you're talking. Newport Hospital.

Is that where listening to Egg put you?

Outpatients. I was lucky.

All the inhabitants of this planet seem very sad. Presumably with the birds being killed.

In the book the atmosphere of their planet was almost poisoned. It could have been much more sadder...

Oh poor things!

Yes, and it was Dr. Verkhovtsev. Or not. There is indeed a mystery here.

You can tell that A Man And His Synthesiser had an awful lot of fun.

I like the planet hopper-y ships with the convertible lids.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Nifty music again

AnneArthur
I think these robots are definitely related to the Hugbot.

M1795537OCVirn
The magic mirrors are brilliant!

I suppose this was the year Vangelis was doing Chariots of Fire, as a point of musical comparison

Never trust a diamond tortoise

Yes. Alice's dad didn't want to take such a gift, but this animal was really rare, so he couldn't refuse.

AnneArthur
She is told to stay by the ship. So of course she doesn't.

Cygnus Bazza
Can I just say I'm rather enjoying this?

Do you suppose Pratchett's Luggage was inspired by this, or is it a case of creative synchronicity?

Bang! Bang! The mighty fall...

Of course not. Alice likes to do what she thinks best.

Nifty music's back

As I said, there were three captains in the book. The third captain found the formula and wanted to give it to the second captain, but got captured as well as the second captain.

Well it pre dates colour of magic. But would TP have seen this marvellous toon? I go for synchronicity. A connective principle linked to the invisible....

The third captain got tortured for four years and almost died. I suppose the creators of this cartoon decided it was too cruel.

They don't mind having 'ugly' characters do they? Alice is the only conventionally pretty toon character.

Going to have to dig the album out now. Thanks for the music suggestion, M'Virn.

That was terrific!

That was really interesting. Loads of great visuals.

By the way, did anyone notice that Alice looked like Green in this cartoon? They look like the husband and the daughter of the animator who pictured them alike, I suppose.

M1795537OCVirn
So it all turned out right in the end. Except they only have the bad creatures in cages for the zoo. I hope that can be overcome.

Glad that you liked it. Now you can read the book Smile

He will definitely find a way to get away. He and Merryfellow are the villains in most other books about Alice.

I still don't know what Smile means!
