This picture in Shurik's flat was made by the famous artist Ilya Repin. It is called Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan. According to the famous version Ivan the Terrible killed his son in rage. He hit him with a stick. Now though this version is questioned. There is evidence that he was sick at that time. Nobody knows for sure.

Boris Godunov. He was a regent and took care of Feodor, the son of Ivan the Terrible. After the death of Feodor Boris Godunov became the tsar.
