MISSIONS Thursday 16th October 7.45pm

MISSIONS: a French made SF show from a few years back. Starts as one thing and becomes...well, wait and see. Or not, if we decide we don't want to continue. I think it's intriguing enough for us want to see, at least, series 1.

Our lovely Taiellin found it to stream free in the link below. I believe it is a Russian language version but it is the same production etc. This version has English subtitles for those of us who don't speak Russian. Grin

Each episode is about 30 minutes long si we'll watch 2 at a time. It is also available on Prime.****

**** well, according to a source it is but I cannot find it. FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW!

The first two seasons were absolutely brilliant. The third season is brilliant in itself but goes off on a strange tangent, which made it a bit disappointing - but not bad.

In the original version, the dialogue is in French, English, Russian, Italian, German etc., depending on who speaks to whom, with (French) subtitles for the non-French parts, which is not only very realistic but also adds to the overall feeling. The German dub sadly bulldozered that concept - it's all in German! Fortunately, the DVDs I have also provide the original multi-language audio track with German subtitles. That's what I watched.

Enjoy the (re-) watch! You're in for quite a ride!

I watched S1 and absolutely loved it but so long ago I've almost forgotten why. But I do recall a big twist in the story so if S3 gets weirder then it really must be out of this world.

I am here. Did I mention that there were two versions? TVshow is Russian translation, Eng.Original is French. You can choose.

Do you see TVShows in the video? There are three columns: 1 сезон (first season), 1 серия (first episode) and TVShows. Change TVShows to Eng.Original.

If you spoke Russian all your life, you would see how terrible it was.

I've seen it used on other films. A standard experiment. Not sure what for...

It's about deferred gratification,- how and when it develops.

Are their noses touching the insides of the helmet visors? They look as if they have a black spot onthe end of their nose.

I think if we ever do go to Mars, we ought to send a rescue ship as well.

Their ship (on Mars) looks a lot like a Guinea Pig.
