I didn't like how they told this story about Komarov.

In what way?

How should I explain this? I don't know. Yes, there is such version, but it should be told completely different. I just don't believe when the creators of Missions try to tell this story, including sacrifice, but excluding everything else.

To me, the writers are using him to add to the mystery

THat was a bit short, wasn't it?

Sadly we are back to the section with failed subtitles. We'll have to improvise...

That man was created on Mars. At least they think so.

AnneArthur
Gosh, I wasn't expecting the pivot to Chariots of the Gods.

M1795537OCVirn
Irene's telling them about unnatural rock formations. My subtitles are fine, thanks.

I got it in English. They were talking about Komarov - saying that he had to be created on Mars, and that the only life form that could survive like that would be AI.

What I said, just before this post - they were saying that Komarov must have been AI, and created on Mars. How they know about him I don't know, as our lot have not been in touch with Earth. Something very sinister going on.

They got Komarov's DNA from Earth.

Mysterious, yes, but why is it necessarily sinister?

So they did. How odd. We haven't seen them telling their Mission Control about what's happening.

I think it is subtitling the original version into English, so when the original version is in English, there are no subtitles.

This American is also very cryptic.

Taiellin
So, it is not so hard to make planetfall.

Taiellin
A good friend who betrayed just once. If she betrayed twice, what would he say?

M1795537OCVirn
I think Irene has been having lessons from Orac.

A moderately good friend?

Taiellin
It is definitely an alien in Komarov's guise. It can't be the famous astronaut.

But it's a French film. They think differently.

Thanks for reminding me of that. You are right.

AnneArthur
That was very good indeed. It's amazing - I have completely forgotten what happens, but I remember the atmosphere very well.

I am a bit frustrated that I cannot get the version with all the subtitles on.

Nine weeks to Christmas, folks! Just thought you'd like to know.

It is beginning to feel a bit Stargate-y in some ways.

I think you need to go to the 'TV show' menu, and choose 'Eng. Original' (or something like that). It has the same subtitles, I think, but the non-subtitled bits are in English.
