Are you lot a couple of minutes behind me? Watching the Director's Cut?

I don't suppose you'd care to say what, exactly, you're so scared of? I mean, you're not in East Anglia, you're not an archaeologist or historian (too many of them about anyway) and nobody is likely to have buried a crown in your library.

I lose myself in the story. I can analyse it with vigour but the feel of it gets into my bones....

It does make me much less scared, I must say.

Clearly never been hit by a fruit flan in the dead of night

Or been assailed by a raspberry

Well, that was interesting, with some nicely atmospheric scenery, but actually rather less scary than last week's. I'm not finding these anything like as creepy as The Turn of the Screw, for example.

Would you like a break from the (not so) creepy next week and do a (re)watch of the Amazing Mr Blunden, a children's classic of yesteryear?

I'll rewatch anything next week. Week after that I'll probably be hors de combat.

If you can put together a highlights show...(cut the kids out. Except for that kid who sang Soldier soldier won't you marry me? Week after week)...

Lol. Well, my dicey second serve might also have been a factor. Fact of the day: I had a 100% record at university tennis. One match. One win. My opponent never showed up.

I'm quite happy to watch anything next week too. I've got a copy of The Box of Delights (the book) and am looking forward to seeing if it makes more sense than the film.

Heading off to Suffolk soon for a few days by the coast. Will take my trusty old trowel. 'What could possibly...' etc etc.
