If we all did DNA tests, sod's law we'd find out M1 was a relative of Danny Dyer and therefore our monarch And I would be related to Thomas Harrison, 2nd in line to Oliver Cromwell, and a son of newcastld under lyme! What about John of Gaunt? Or won't you be drawn on that? |

And with that. I shall say good night, dear friends. A merry meet, as we say. And another next week. Not forgetting the awful film on Wednesday.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Death to the Normans! (who were Vikings anyway), and death to the Saxons (plus Angles, Jutes etc) as well. Southerners, the lot of 'em. Are you a Pict? Why? You're Brigantes, I'd have thought Celt, maybe. Everybody wants to be a celt because a celt is a cat who knows where its at... Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

Right, this isn't getting me anywhere. I've got a 1970s forest-based 'short' to track down... |

Taiellin would have lots of Ivans in the old back catalogue and AA would have a genealogical hotline to Macbeth. Both my grandfathers had that name. It is quite common. Edited by Taiellin on 14-08-2025 20:02 |
