That was a great watch! Can't put a re- on it cos it was the 1st time of seeing. Acting was melodramatic with bells on and that's being kind. But the storyline kept us watching and...so stylish, in a nightmarey kind of way. Definitely, Hitch took a lot of lessons from these film makers.

That was a great watch! Can't put a re- on it cos it was the 1st time of seeing. Acting was melodramatic with bells on and that's being kind. But the storyline kept us watching and...so stylish, in a nightmarey kind of way. Definitely, Hitch took a lot of lessons from these film makers. Cock-a-hoop you both had fun with this! The über-OTT acting is classic Expressionism, but you kind of get used to it. Sounds like you may be up for WET GECKO 2 at some point. Don't mind whether this nudges the next Crud Club sesh back, or comes after it. As for what we watch, whatever suits you suits me - a Weimar classic like Metropolis, or something like The Golem, or an early talkie. Just as long as we're not arrested by the forces of state repression. Right, I've got confetti to prepare. |
