As promised, my new Blake gnomes for the Christmas tree. I guess the gnomes named Ann were all bought by trekkies. After all, it's their motto: '...where gnome Ann has gone before!' |

The other day, I watched the 1977 version of Treasure Island starring lots of B7 actors, including both Travii! (There is even a scene where Travis II shoots at Travis I, but misses.) On John Silver's side, we have Travis I, Zukan and Deva (plus Survivor's veteran Tom Price and the Second Doctor). The Jim Hawkins party includes Travis II and the nameless System slave from Redemption, and his father is none other than Groff. There is also Jack Watson as Billy Bones, who was a regular on Arthur of the Britons (which had Tom Chadbon in the first episode). Edited by Hugbot on 02-02-2025 12:29 |

Watching Revenge of the Cybermen today on the Doctor Who channel and was pleasantly surprised to see Jeremy Wilkin (Dev Tarrant from The Way Back), Ronald Leigh-Hunt (Auron central control from Children of Auron), David Collings (Deva from Blake), Kevin Stoney (Joban from Hostage) and Pat Gorman (various cameo appearances) as a Cyberman. Wow!

Two B7 connections in this week's Doomwatch episode on TPTV. First Hildegard Neil as a white coated scientist - wife of Brian Blessed of course. Secondly, Robert James who appeared in ep1 of B7, The Way Back as Ven Glynd. |

I was watching the ROKU channel on our tv the other night and an ad came on for some sort of film- no idea what it was about as I was too astonished and laughing too hard to notice. The title was Blake vs Justin.

Finished watching Seek-Locate-Destroy on Blu-Ray the other night, and when I switched back to regular TV, who was the first face I saw? it was Gareth Thomas in an episode of Heartbeat being aired on 7mate (a channel down here in Aus) A couple of days earlier, Brian Croucher popped up in an advert for some brand of tiles whilst watching a retro TV You Tube channel. |

Nearly at the end of Jon Pertwee's run. The number of B7 faces in this last series is getting ridiculous. Family time! Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

The Satellite Show (1989) - check out the intergalactic news readers about 1'23" in. Both ends of the spectrum here, costume-wise: Travis S1 and Avon S4. |

Watched a favorite film of ours last evening- 'Where Eagles Dare' starring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. Also starring Robert Beatty (Bran Foster from The Way Back) and William Squire (Kommissar from Horizon). Brad always says it should have been Avon in Richard Burton's place, Tarrant in Clint Eastwood's place, Jenna in Mary Ure's place and Cally in Ingrid Pitt's place. A good flick.

Watched Journey to the Center of the Earth the other day. It's a favorite of ours and we try and watch it at least once a year. Then, we watched Sink the Bismarck last evening and enjoyed that one. And still watching one episode of Thunderbirds per week and loving it.

Glynis Barber is on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip this week. I wonder if they will mention her B7 appearances? Certainly Eastenders and Dempsey and Makepeace will get a mention. |

Watching Doctor Who Robots of Death on our ROKU channel today, I know most people know that the cast included a number of B7 actors and writers like writer Chris Boucher, actors Pamela Salem from The Way Back, David Bailie, from Project Avalon, Brian Croucher, Travis II, David Collings, Blake, but I also spotted those metallic blue shelving units seen in Seek, Locate, Destroy, and also the couch seen in the Way Back- in Ven Glynd's office-now in the lounge of the Sandminer! BBC rule number one- never waste a prop!

BBC rule number one- never waste a prop! The mention of Kaldor City in both Robots of Death and Headhunter is usually cited as the link to prove that B7 and DW exist in the same universe. Personally I always found the presence of the same couch in both universes far more compelling. If Space Ikea furniture is good enough for the Sand Miners, it's good enough for the Federation Legal Department. I also like to think of B7's Malcolm Travis as the twin brother of DW's Borg Travis. I look exactly as Avon reasoned I would.

Next Saturday's leg of the Paris-Nice cycle race is a 175km route from Nice to Auron. Blimey, I always imagined Cally's home planet was a lot further away than that. |
