* Merry Christmas Everyone! * Smart Move at Space Santa Market We all know that co-operation between two crew members can be successful, but when it comes to money, Vila and Avon are probably the most successful team! The Liberator crew was about to celebrate Christmas with gifts and all. To this end, the crew had drawn lots in which everyone could indicate their gift wish. Vila had drawn Cally and her dearest wish was to get a traditional Auron bracelet, of which there were only three at most in circulation at the Space Santa Market that they would visit that day. Vila thought it would cost him at least 1000 Credit, but Vila's wallet had never been very full! So he borrowed some money from Avon and went to a jeweller's stall. This jeweller thought that Vila with his innocent face would be an easy prey for him and asked him without blinking his eyes 4000 Credit for the Auron bracelet that was worth no more than 1000 Credit. However, it was a beautifully crafted piece of ironwork. Vila was delighted with it and bought it. He exaggerated his compliments and said that such a jewel was invaluable. The merchant was beaming! But two days later Vila came back to the jeweller's stall and said: ‘I gave the bracelet to my friend and she was very happy with it. But she told me that such an Auron bracelet is never worn as a single piece, but that one usually wears one of them on each wrist or one set on the same wrist, so that you can jingle nicely with it and attract admiring attention. She begged me to buy her another, exactly the same bracelet.’ The jeweller was in trouble now, because he had told Vila that his Auron Bracelet was absolutely one of a kind and he wouldn't know how to get another one. But Vila insisted: ‘You made me pay 4000 Credit for the first bracelet. I'm willing to go up to 6000 Credit for a second one. My girlfriend asks for it and I want to make her happy!’ The jeweller then promised to look for an identical bracelet. Then, the next morning, Avon came to the jeweller to offer him an Auron Bracelet of which he said that it was an unused asset and he would like to sell it for 5000 Credit. The jeweller, who was sure he had a buyer for 6000 Credit, bought the bracelet. Avon left the Space Santa Market with a broad smile! This way Vila immediately returned the borrowed 4000 Credit to Avon and at another stall he found an Auron Bracelet alike the first one for the actual price of 1000 Credit which he bought from his 1000 Credit profit. *
*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

As promised, here is the solution to the B7 title quiz. For those you still want to solve it on their own, I used magical Invisible Ink. Highlighting will make the text visible: 1 This is the Alpha male of swans, i.e. the CYGNUS ALPHA. 2 POWER 3 STAR DRIVE 4 DAWN OF THE GODS 5 The guy is on the way to an ORAC(le). 6 The arrow points beyond Earth; as „beyond“ is the original meaning of the Latin word „ultra“, you could also say it points ULTRA WORLD. 7 A chess opening where a piece (usually a pawn) is sacrificed early on to win a strategic advantage is called a GAMBIT. 8 Trying to find something in Glastonbury Tor? The guy is obviously taking part in a PROJECT to locate AVALON! 9 TIME SQUAD 10 The guy uses a PCP tube as a WEAPON. 11 THE KEEPER 12 GOLD 13 The warrior was obviously on a MISSION TO DESTINY. 14 Chocolate + coconut = BOUNTY 15 Dont get distracted by „Black Park“: The symbols just means SEEK – LOCATE – DESTROY. 16 The guy wants to redeem his voucher -> REDEMPTION. 17 „Ancient of Days“ is a famous picture by William BLAKE. 18 There are lots of various GAMES on the board. 19 HORIZON 20 STAR ONE 21 The Greek god of the perfect moment is usually depicted balancing scales on a razor and being bald at the back of his head (because when the right moment passes, you can’t grab it by its hair to hold it back). His name is Kairos, and here he is seen harvesting. Hence, this is the HARVEST OF KAIROS. 22 THE WAY BACK 23 TRIAL 24 The two Uranides helped to depict an ASS-ASS-IN. 25 POWER PLAY 26 Keiller minus the second letter = KILLER 27 The Chef has to deal with the AFTERMATH of a meal. 28 The picture is a take on the movie DELIVERANCE (with Avon as Burt Reynolds). 29 THE WEB 30 SHADOW 31 The guest asks his host for his age, i.e. the HOST AGE (sorry!). 32 If you shake „lard row“ you get WARLORD. 33 CHILDREN OF AURON 34 SPACE FALL 35 VOICE FROM THE PAST 36 SAND 37 CITY AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD (just like in the Hamlet cigars ad with Paul Darrow) 38 Acetic acid (vinegar) and sodium hydrogencarbonate (baking soda) are used to simulate a VOLCANO at science fairs and the like. 39 BREAKDOWN 40 HEAD HUNTER 41 While the dialogue alludes to Aftermath, Avon attempts a RESCUE. 42 ANIMALS 43 A dot in a hydraulic press? That must be a PRESSURE POINT! 44 Howard Carter is about to find the SARCOPHAGUS of Tutankhamun. 45 The Grim Reaper is looking at his DEATH WATCH. 46 The zoological term for the silvery gibbon is Hylobates MOLOCH. 47 The letters are indeed confused. Instead of „riot art“, they should read TRAITOR. 48 When you see this, the condition of the patient was TERMINAL. 49 RUMOURS OF DEATH 50 While the „dueling banjos“ are from the movie Deliverance (or the first episode of Father Ted...), they are used here to symbolise simply a DUEL. 51 The COUNT is DOWN. 52 The chewing gum may be of the ORBIT brand. |

Thanks for the answers, Hugbot. I'm not entirely done yet with your quiz. And is there some sort of magical invisible ink which will erase all the extra calories we've eaten during Christmas week? Asking for a friend!
