Well, I would never have seen myself as Gan (I suspect he might be rather better at getting the tops off jars, for one thing), but that's what my more or less random answers gave me. Lovely Yuletide yarn, LS! Galactic gift deliveries - crikey, even allowing for time dilation etc etc, Santa would need every one of those 'helpers' we got fobbed off with as kids back in the day, in slightly run-down local department stores up and down the country. Interestingly, I've often suspected Avon might have a secret soft-toy stash, to help him channel his soppier side - well away from prying eyes. |

What a lovely story, Sue! Thank you. My dear old Dad used to tell us the story about me and Anne finding a giant snowball and helping Santa,every Xmas Eve. I asked my sister how,it went but she cannot remember, but the gist of it is as I've written. And every Easter, he would tell us the story of me and Anne finding a giant Easter Egg and helping the Easter Bunny deliver all the choccie eggs. I wish I could remember all the stories he once told us...and all made up in his head, not a book in sight. I can faintly remember a tale about Donald Duck and his nephews which left Anne and I in stitches, we laughed so much, but, again, what they got up to I cannot remember. Cold! I don't think I know this one - I had heard that a teddy, supposedly Avon's, kept appearing out of shot in the conversations between Blake and Avon in 'Terminal', but that's all I know. Did David give it to Paul Darrow? David gave the teddy to one of the make up ladies, Sheelagh I think, and this teddy kept on appearing all over the place until turning up in that blooper in the scene in Terminal... which is why Mr D roared with laughter.
