Oh wow! That pink box with the clouds on it. I have a file in exactly the same pattern - I bought it in 1985, for my Spanish notes.

Old fashioned, you said?

Brotherhood of Man LPs?

Not a gun, certainly!

Actually, of course the houses would be old-fashioned. People don't rush out and redecorate overnight. But yes, the box is absolutely of the moment.

So now we ask: what was she involved in?

Have you realised how long these episodes are? Are you both OK for a later finish??

Yes, I noticed - so I've had dinner. I thought that eating at 10pm was a bit much, even for me.

M1795537OCVirn
Love it when people on film don't shut doors behind them. It's because there's a whole camera crew following them. Wouldn't look good if he slammed the door in their faces.

Always sounded so artificial. Even if she believed herself.

Quite. You don't see her as the proto-Servalan, then?

No, but I've always thought she might have had something to so with why B7 was never repeated! The wrong but romantic rebels versus the right but repulsive Iron lady? What are the odds??

When my brother worked for Lothian regional Council, they used to run nuclear waste from Torness round the old Edinburgh suburban railway - which wasn't safe for passenger transport.

M1795537OCVirn
Let's do it on the hour - 8.45?

There's probably stuff like that still going on.

Sounds very plausible. I suppose I always thought the obvious role-playing of Servalan was related to the very artificial Thatcher persona.

While I'm not all that far from the Big Radioactive Hole aka the 'safe' waste repository at whatever they're calling Calder Hall/Windscale/Sellafield these days.

Thatcher was a puppet. Servalan has no one pulling her strings.

In a science lesson, my daughter's group were a bit worried to find that the girl from Seascale (just along the coast from Sellafield) made the Geiger counter they were learning about start clicking. A lot.

Skullduggery-ing all over the place.

Gosh. Tim McInnerny is in the cast - he must be very young here.

It's a really clever way to develop the plot.
