I've been rewatching the Office, and I think they use the same song - perhaps a cover version? - of the one where the grandad's been working to pay for the stuff we have...am I right?

It's OSP you need to worry about. I remember the end of episode 16 - and only bits and pieces in between!

That's nearly as gross as the time I mistook milk for natural yoghurt in Germany. It didn't suit the Corn Flakes.

The main thing about the Sweeney is that it's referenced in Wow by the brilliant Kate Bush.

I'm not really into straight cop shows. They've got to have a twist - such as this one.

Ah, I llove the bits where the girl from the test card comes to life!

I remember until the early 1980s when BBC2 was just the test card (except for the schools programmes) until around 6pm.

I ask you both cos I wonder if you get all the parallels to 70s cop shows as well as the real thing.

It's a touch of genius to use the test card.

Nice touch by the director, actually. For goodness sake - didn't you do Macbeth? Let me spell it out for you. He feels responsible, because he knows he was responsible, except he couldn't do anything else. Get with the plot, woman.

I've seen a few bits of the Sweeney but didn't 'watch' it as such. Ditto Dukes of Hazzard.

Dukes Of Hazzard wasn't really a cop show. Which is probably why I liked it.
