STARTED!

I can't for the life of me remember how this series ended. I do remember how Season 2 ended.

Let's fire up the quattro!

Will you give that quattro a rest! Please!

Will do!

Life On Mars didn't really have a corresponding catchphrase, did it?

We're 'avin' 'oops ?

Is that in every episode?

Who knows what Gene had for his dinner? That's lunch to you southerners....

I thought you had tea, not dinner.

Lunch is dinner, dinner is tea.

So when's supper? Grin

that's because you're operating in L-space, according to Terry Pratchett. Libraries are all connected. All of them; anywhere, any time.

Dinner happens in the middle of the day, and has done since Roman times. They skipped breakfast, and ate at dinnertime, doh. 'Dinner' itself comes from the French word disner that means 'to dine'. The south (technically anywhere south of Manchester) don't know what they're talking about.

Hello folks, sorry I'm late. I was watching, but also trying to eat dinner. How are you all?

So tea is a carefully cooked meal, but dinner is a sandwich bolted down while you continue to work?

Dinner always used to be a cooked meal. People went home from work and school to eat it. School meals still retain a vestige of a proper 'dinner'. Current working practices in the UK are what dictate the stupidity of bolting down a sandwich.
