It is a film by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger one of the greatest pair of filmmakers in the Uk. David Niven, Kim Hunter, Raymond Massey...
I am mildly astounded.

Fancy a Pressburger and Powell rewatch? You need the education.

Whack for my daddio. That was a good episode. Bit brutal, though.

Now that's a song I do know. Stand and deliver, your money or your life - well known in the folk circuit many moons ago.

It's all brutal. Only moments ago, I was hoping Gene's flask didn't have whisky in it, but something more appropriate to The North - like Vimto. Singing 'Whisky in the Jar' only rubbed it in.

Well, back to the story, Sam seems to be rid of another connection to his other life. What next?

Maybe he dies. That would bee a great ending.
(Sorry about the gap, my other half suddenly appeared in what he thought might be suitable to wear to a family wedding. I needed to remonstrate).

I don't drink. A friend who was a part-time barman* once claimed people could drink anything they wanted in a pub. So I asked for milk. He gave me some.

*when he wasn't mining. Minerals, mostly.

Thankfully, no. But grey, blue and two different greens was too much. Also somehow, the suit is too BIG now. Weirdo.

Despite all the nastiness and deaths, I think it's well-made and well acted. Thanks for suggesting it.

OK, time to get our (grown-up) daughters to talk to their dad about proper clothing for posh weddings. They're much better at sorting him out than I am.
See you Tuesday.
