A very limited amount of tickets have been added to our EventBrite page for SEEK LOCATE CELEBRATE on Sunday June 9th: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/seek-l...9898755557 Last minute Guest Announcement: Team Blake are very pleased to announce that Alistair Lock will be joining us for 'Seek Locate Celebrate' on Sunday June 9th. Most recently he was involved with, the soon to be released, Worlds of Blake's 7 'TARRANT' audio box set. It looks like I am going to make. Flights booked and everything. YAY! Question for you all though - is there anything else Blake's Seven-ish or even Sci-Fi-ish happing in the UK while I'm there?? Location visits, actors in plays etc. I expect to be there from 27 May to 11 June. Hope you are 'Down & Safe'. Check out our front page news for links to 2 events with B7-related guests - 1st June Watford Comic Con (Colin Baker) and 8th June Maggie's Little Helpers charity signing including (am only) Judy Matheson. |

Hi is there a Travelodge or similar nearby? Also anyone staying nearby (Saturday night)? Thank you OVZ Hi, There is a Premier Inn and a Marriott close to Steventon, a lot of people will be staying at one of these. They are adjacent to each other and are on the bus route from Didcott Station to Steventon. The Marriott's details are:https://www.marriott.com/en-gb/hotels.../overview/ And the Premier Inn details are: https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hote...idcot.html The pubs in Steventon usually offer rooms and there are a few small guesthouses, but it is debatable whether these will have any space, we do rather take over the area on these weekends. Other helpful info for the weekend below: VENUE: Steventon Village Hall, The Green, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RR Steventon is a village in South Oxfordshire, approximately ten miles south of Oxford, and between the towns of Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage. The Hall is situated on the main road through Steventon on the corner of the very large Village Green. CAR PARKS: There are 3 small car parks in the village – one at the village hall (OX13 6RR), the school (OX13 6SQ) and on the left at the start of Milbank Way (OX13 6FF) as well as various on street parking. All the car parks listed above are free, but not that big. Can we please ask anyone coming by car to park with due consideration to the village residents, not blocking footpaths/ driveways etc, it would be very much appreciated. CASH/CARDs (FEDERATION BANKING INFO): We have had a few enquiries regarding methods of payment. Cash payments will be required for the autograph sales, and most other event activities. Coinage would be appreciated for the various raffles, tombola’s, charity sales table, food and drink, etc. Team Blake is hoping to be able to accept limited Paypal Payments for the Auction items, but this is yet to be confirmed. Some of the vendors ‘may’ have the facility to take card payments but it would be best to assume that cash is preferred. Please note there is wi-fi in the hall, but it quickly gets overwhelmed if too many people are using it, so don't rely on it for transactions. There is a free cash machine situated in the nearby Co-Op, open from 7.00am – 10.00pm on Sundays, where ‘cash back’ is also available. Co-Op 8-10 High St, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RS FOOD & DRINK: Please find the following options for food and drink availability in and around the event on Sunday 9th June. These are just a few options, if you have any questions please post or message and we will do our best to answer them. AT THE VENUE: FISH & CHIP VAN – We are pleased to welcome the popular chip van back to Steventon, serving hot food and drinks in the village hall car park for a limited time, for exact times and how to order ask at registration on the day. TEA / COFFEE / COLD DRINKS / BASIC SNACKS – will be available in the village hall cafe in the Fan Zone. FOOD IN THE VILLAGE: Booking strongly advised for pub food in the village as they are liable to close if there's not much business. The Fox Inn - Pub/Restaurant - Booking Advised 29 High St, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RZ 01235 833151 Cherry Tree -Pub/Restaurant - Booking Advised 33 High St, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RZ 01235 831222 Co-Op - Shop / Store Sun: 7am - 10pm 8-10 High St, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RS FOOD OPTIONS FURTHER AFIELD: At the Milton Interchange (aka Milton Gate) there's McDonalds, Costa Coffee, M&S and a Miller & Carter Restaurant. It's about a mile away and is also where the Premier Inn and Marriott hotels are located. TRANSPORT: Just a little info with regards to travel, fingers crossed everything is running normally that weekend. Oh, for a working Teleport system! The nearest Railway Station to the venue is Didcot Parkway, and buses run regularly from there to Steventon Green (just by the hall). The route numbers are X2 and X36. If anyone wants specific info, we will do our best to enquire. Taxis are available from the rank at the station but it's probably wise to book a return journey for Sunday pm. Richard Putley, not only a steadfast Blake’s 7 fan, but he also knows his way around trains! Richard suggests that anyone going to SEEK-LOCATE-CELEBRATE, who's not yet bought a train ticket, uses www.nationalrail.co.uk It will direct you to one of the train companies website if you wish to buy a ticket online. DO NOT USE the Trainline as their data is sometimes inaccurate and they charge a booking fee. Whereas most of the Train Operators, particularly who serve Didcot Parkway do not ( gwr.com ). Any queries about rail travel Richard has kindly said he would do his best to answer them. https://www.facebook.com/.../1684530....008156636) For other queries about the Steventon one of the Team Blake members is local to the area so if more information is required, please reply below or send a message and we will do our best to answer any queries. Not long to go now, see you soon. Thank you from all at Team Blake. Edited by scott on 02-06-2024 18:27 |

Woo-hoo!! I've managed to get tickets for this year's Meet-up! This is my first B7 meet-up - and indeed my first ever event or Con of this type! Really excited about seeing everybody. We're staying over locally for 2 night - going to Bletchley Park on Saturday, then S-L-C on Sunday. See you all soon. Rachel x |

Have fun at the convention! Unfortunately, I can't make it this year (again!). If anyone has planned to bring along some prawn cocktail crisps for me, I think there will be some attendees happy to take them instead. Just look out for the fanzine stall. Just a pity that OSP isn't there, otherwise I'd suggest that you give them to her instead. Let's hope I'll be able to make it next time. It's been a long time and I'm missing the old gang! |

But I'm sorry you won't be with us - I wanted to thank you in person for all the cartoons - not just TT's adventures, because they're amazing, but all the fun you give us. Thanks, Huggy, and yes, let's hope you can make it next time. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Checking the websites of the Fox and the Cherry Tree, neither serves food past five on Sundays - anyone on the ground in Steventon want to confirm/deny? Assuming this is true, I'm happy to coordinate a group booking somewhere else. Last time we all ended up at the Beefeater, so that seems as good an option as any. Drop me an email at ruth.d.wall+slc@gmail.com if you're interested. |

Hello Everyone, This is my first post but I should have joined years ago. I don't get excited about things these days, (it started a while after they fitted the limiter) however, I am really looking forward to attending the convention on Sunday. B7 has been a 'part of my life' since watching the TV series as a boy. I watched it rather simplistically back then, I was invested in the charisma of Blake, his mission to defeat the baddies and the amazing concept of The Liberator. It was only later, in my 20s when the series was released on VHS, that I discovered the profound brilliance of the script and the acting properly. Blake was no longer the focus, he was just the glue that held a wonderful cast together. The perfect foil to Avon releasing Avon to be the perfect foil to everyone else The show could shift effortlessly between real tension and clever comedy when it needed to, the contrast intensifying both, hence so many episodes have a real rollercoaster ride feel to them, especially if you don't remember what's going to happen next! Anyway, I wanted to thank the members of this forum for keeping something I love so alive after so many years. In addition, to thank all those who have the passion and enthusiasm to organise events like the one on Sunday (thanks especially to Scott and Hazel who took the time to contact me). I only found out by pure chance but I am delighted to have a ticket and it means a lot to me...life isn't much fun sometimes but this will be! Thank you, and see you soon. Paul Hi Paul, this be my 1st Blake's 7 only convention ( last year went to the space centre with my daughter,Dr Who,B7, Anderson etc) if I can make it ,knee still painful, come and say hi,I have crutches lol Also I agree what you said. Due to unforeseen sad circumstances I unfortunately had to cancel my flight and will not be able to attend the convention. I feel sad about not meeting you again. But I'm wishing you all a wonderful experience and I will be there in spirit. *No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*
Lara&Sue's Blake's 7 stories will be back soon at a new website! |

Hello Everyone, This is my first post but I should have joined years ago. I don't get excited about things these days, (it started a while after they fitted the limiter) however, I am really looking forward to attending the convention on Sunday. Great to have you back aboard, Paul. And it's OK to get excited. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Hello everyone I just got an email from Hazel with a itinerary With 8:30 registration and fan zone opens at 9am. I thought it opened at 10 am? Please can someone clarify Thank you OVZ Being a veteran of these cons, I'd suggest getting there early enough to register, say around 9 am, and go into the fan zone room to meet with other fans. The con itself opens at 10 am, but to gather fans before, Team Blake has provided a separate room called the Fan Zone and that has tables and chairs, the 'canteen' and other amenities so fans can meet and talk and do whatever fans do. I'll be missing all of you this year, but I am assured you will have the time of your life. So go and find new friends, and seek out old ones and have a blast! Resist the Host

Hi all, Looking forward to meeting up with everyone tomorrow. But before I start my journey to the Steventon Colony (making sure to bring my extra strong mints) I thought I'd just post a couple of final bits of info: First up, for anyone needing to collect a t-shirt, just come and find me and I'll sort you out. I'll be around the hall somewhere, but am usually based by the left hand corner of the stage. Secondly, for those coming to Steventon over the weekend, who aren't using a teleport, we advise you to please check your routes. There is a road closure in place on the A34 Southbound between the A4130 and the M4, we believe this is Southbound only. Apparently this is in place until Monday morning. Safe travels to all. And finally, a quick reminder that upon arrival at Registration you will need to show proof of your ticket purchase, either paper ticket or on your mobile phone. If you have transferred your ticket please share this to the person transferred too. Thanks Scott |

I'm busy packing my stuff and hoping to arrive at the Didcot South Premier Inn by 7-ish (Diane time - so could - um - be a bit later!) Hopefully in time to get some food! I'm not having an official sales table - I've not been too well the past few months so a bit behind with everything and just want to have time to enjoy the event and chat to as many people as possible. HOWEVER I am bringing a few things along that have been pre-ordered, and a little selection of past Horizon newsletters & zines and a few 'special' goodies that people might like so I'll be able to sell from my room at the hotel tonight, and from my car boot at the event tomorrow. Also bringing a selection of signed photos (of people NOT guests at the event, obviously) and a selection of 10x8s unsigned. I'll be putting some lovely Gareth Thomas publicity photos (from his own collection) on the Con Charity Table and anything else I can find in the next couple of hours before I leave!! Come and find me if you want to take a look - if you don't know where I am (or what I look like) most of the concom (and the guests) know me so hopefully we'll find each other. Looking forward to seeing friends/fans old and new. x Diane PS Once I've left home I probably won't see any messages on here - anyone searching for me can call/whatsapp 07771 602 829 Edited by SupremeCommanderDiane on 08-06-2024 15:18 |

Right, I am back at the Marriot Hotel and reflecting on the brilliant day I have just had. It's hard, even for me, to do justice to my feelings. It is always a little scary when you don't know anyone at an event, Miles from home and uncertain of how to 'fit in'. I needn't have worried. It is apparent that it is not only the wonderful 'cast' who are so giving but every organiser and member of the group who attended today. It's a cliche, to use the word family but that is what it is. Everyone respected, everyone cared for and utterly inclusive. If ever anyone was in doubt about the shape of human nature....they need to come to a B7 convention. I have a list of names in my head of the people who have made my day so special and you will know because I told you...or tried to. The beauty of today was not only the people but the combination of celebration and a chance to help a charity I am passionate about. The Blake team have my great admiration for what they do and it is remarkable that 46 years later the bond between fans and cast and giving is stronger than I could imagine. Highlights....there were so many. Here are just a few. Liz from South Wales, Brian Croucher, talking to me for 2 or 3 minutes and never letting go of my hand. Ian's superb Blake and Liberator raising so much. Chatting to Alistair about voice overs and him and Matt signing my mini Orac. The brilliance of Sharon at the entrance and her telling me off for trying to get into the hall early. Gary the trooper....all the troopers and the chap who took my photo being captured. The Kit car outside. The coincidence of the three scientists in the room at the same time! Jan (Cally) holdng my hand as I made a fool of myself crying about things I have lost. The people that made me tea....the list is endless and includes Andy, Scott and all those who just took time to say a kind word. I could go on......The time flew by. Wow. I do have to apologise for winning a couple of raffle prizes....that was embarrassing. Sorry. What a suberb, well run event driven by passion and love. Thank you all so much. I hope I can return next year. You have all made a real difference to me. Paul. Edited by Toise on 09-06-2024 21:52 "He spends all his time down on the rink."

Phew...down and save back home after a slight detour as the A34 was shut going South. Still a nice trip through Wantage! Once again a fab time, a few tears and lots of hugs. (Dearest has not had so many hugs in his life!!!!!) As the cast said....it is a family...a family that has helped me get through the loss of my youngest Daughter and who, like Gary, is remembered. If any of you have any doubts, please try and come to the next one, even if you are a shy retiring type (like myself!!!!!) Once again, thankyou to Hazel and Andy for getting everything organised and to PC for supplying the tea (and bacon butties). to Scott, to Phil, to Lucy...the list is endless. Now for nice cuppa and an early night. 4.30 am is not a good time to get up. But Gary would have been proud of everyone! Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold! Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!! Sue's Book Shelf https://www.mediafire.com/folder/z1xg...Zine_Shelf Rebel Run Video https://youtu.be/8prqS-XZtLo |

Hi everyone OVZ (John) on crutches. I just got back, return journey was, tiring, road works but,,,now got that out of the way, I was overwhelmed with the kindness, interest in me, my leg, my burgundy Polo top at least (30+) complimented me about it, ask where I got it etc, meeting loads (sue,Virn (name escapes me sorry), Lorna, Liz and co from Wales, the people from USA, so many, just to name a few. Best bunch of people (fans), Team Blake (Hazel), actors and everybody else. You know I have problems remembering names, chatted to lots, lady from OZ Christine I think, Mark with knightrider car and so many more, A couple people gave me freebies, I wished I done it years ago. What a great venue, great people, great time I had. If I spoke to you and you want to message me, feel free. I might not remember your name but faces I don't forget. Thank you everyone, I felt welcomed. OVZ (John) I plan to live forever,or die trying.
