That church looks unfriendly, too.

I think Norfolk’s quite a creepy county, actually. Was a great place to collect folksongs, though, apparently.

Cygnus Bazza
Ticking clocks are quite creepy too. Get rid. Go digital.

AnneArthur
These hotels are all very seedy.

Are you, perhaps, looking upon it with an unfriendly eye?

I’d pinch those books for your library, OSP. Do you have an ‘Old Sh*te’ section?

AnneArthur
What were the three Anglo-Saxon kingdoms? I can think of more than that.

Is this turning into 'The Chap in the Hat'?

I think they're talking about component parts of East Anglia, not the heptarchy. You still get three crowns on things like the coat of arms of the diocese of Ely

Only if the doll's alive...

That would make more sense.

Blimey. Norfolk’s creepy. I’d rather spend a long weekend on Summerisle. But not in late June.

Early days? Or late days when several 'kingdoms' had joined up.

Seaburg looks wrong - surely it should be Seaborough or Seaburgh?

Yep, should have an 'h'. Meant to be Aldeburgh but isn't

Quite late on - I don't really know the early ones at all.

If the library can't help, hit the second-hand shops.

“Don’t worry about the dog. He’s just being friendly…”

This has suddenly gone a bit Wuthering Heights

That's OSP's library's default advice for 'customers'

With an extravagant choice of prefixes, I'd imagine...

This train's even creepier than the last one. Do they have a refreshment trolley?

M1795537OCVirn
That deserted wood is probably teeming with tourists these days.

He really needs to go and hire a JCB if he wants to ruin the archaeological value of that site properly.
