B7 Advent Calendar 2024 - Comments

Much appreciation to everyone for their contributions. Thanks for the carol, Brad. Not one but three B7 chart hits from CB - and thanks for links to the originals! Looking forward to reading all the stories again properly when I have more time, and can't wait to do the new jigsaw. Thanks, Lurena!

Four chart hits, not three. It's a common misconception that 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' didn't chart in the UK. But it actually went Top Ten. I'd have thought the Federation would be across that kind of detail. Never mind. To business...

Thought I'd post my solution to your WORDLE thingy of 2nd Dec. It's taken me a fortnight - and it's the first time I've dabbled with this type of puzzle - but confident I'm a good 75% of the way there:

3 letters: GAN
4 letters: ORAC
5 letters: VILLA
6 letters: BLAKEY
7 letters: SERVLAN
8 letters: DECIMALS
9 letters: THATVINNI
10 letters: BLAKESMATE (can't remember his name)
11 letters: SCORPIOOOOO
12 letters: BRIANBLESSED (little known fact - there's no space in his name. Check Wikipedia)
13 letters: RECEPTIONISTS (there's deffo one in 'Powerplay' must be a second one somewhere)
14 letters: ADVENTCALENDAR (I'm pretty sure this is all one word)

When do I get to choose my prize?

Unfortunately, the last time I was at the Cherry Tree, they didn't have any PC crisps. So I guess you have smuggled in your very own PCPs.

I'm not telling!!! Grin
Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold!
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!!

Perhaps a slightly rushed response, there, CB. Started off reasonable but rapidly went downhill. Surprisingly, one of them is correct. Please feel free to choose (and purchase) your own prize.

That has genuinely made my Christmas. You never lose it.

I've just adopted a snow leopard, as it happens, so I'll forgo the purchase of superfluous bangles on this occasion and simply bask in the glow of my critic-defying, logic-shredding success.

That reminds me of a great line from The Goon Show - "You have to find my son, Inspector! Money is no object! I'll even chip in five bob myself."

Couldn't head off for the hols without congratulating you on your latest contribution, M1. If ever there was a questionnaire that needed filling in, it's this one.

Just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying everyone's contribution to the Advent calendar. Special thanks go also to Tyce for the wonderful photo of her with Jan and Sally! I'm always glad to see recent photos of our actors, like the one I posted of Brad and I from Chicago TARDIS with Jan and Brian! And the puzzles- especially Lurena's contribution- love them. And the stories- everything has been so fun and entertaining- I just wanted to thank you all for volunteering a bit of your time for all of us to enjoy! Happy Holidays and there is more to come, and even another contribution from little old me. Cheers!

I love the story, Sue. Santa is a very good judge of character. He has all of them figured out.

Paula
TT, I loved your Star One Alternative Ending. You and Hugbot's creativity always make me laugh!

Paula, it has to be the pink ribbon.

Thanks TNG I ended up on Virn!!!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

I’m so glad people are enjoying it! I made my brother test run it a couple of times to make sure it works reliably.
Don’t be sorry. Be quiet.

Dodgyville- I loved your Horizon Christmas vid. What an inspired idea to use a snow globe as the back half of the Liberator! Wonderful!

And to each and every one of you- well done!

Apparently I'm packing my bags for Kairos. Thanks, NTG, that was fun.

CB, I love the snow globe 'reveal' partway through. But that Servalan cameo at the end - did you throw that in especially for Ms Virn?

M1795537OCVirn
A massive thankyou to everyone who contributed! It's been such a pleasure to find something new each day. What a talented bunch you are! And thanks to Joe for organising it all.

Thank you everyone for joining in, or just looking on.

Especial thanks to all those who did double-duty or more. I haven't looked properly, but I think this year's 'above & beyond' award goes to the indefatigable Cygnus Bazza.

Merry Christmas everyone! May it be everything you hope for (and include a B7 Blu-ray and a Production Diary in your stocking).

Once again, well done all of you who happily participated in our Advent Calendar this year. I loved all the days whether it be a puzzle, story, photo, or other item- they were all eagerly devoured by me! Thank you all.

I'm a bit late this year due to work , work, work and family duties, but oh, how wonderful and enjoyable this Advent Calendar is again! Thank you all for your creativity and contributions! I love to read the stories and I had to avoid reading this comment-thread because I didn't want to see solutions of some puzzles as I had no time yet to solve them myself.
Cheers to you all for being great B7 fans and a big thank you to Joe Dredd for keeping up the tradition and starting this Advent Calendar!

A special note to Tyce: I'm so happy you were able to meet the stars! I imagine they took you "over the moon" as they are truly lovely ladies indeed!
