Interesting to see the discussion about dropping street signs and ropes down the shaft. My depiction of the spring-loaded stone slab that seals off the shaft in episode 1125 was obviously too obscure. Maybe I should refrain from drawing comic strips... Instead, here is the newest installment! Episode 1129 Oh, are Doug McClure, Peter Cushing, and Cy Grant in there? (Somewhat Obscure 'At The Earth's Core' reference.) . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? Not for the bird!  I could have written a heart-wrenching strip about the bird trying to feed its chicks. Then people would probably think it sad if the bird didn't catch the worm and the cute little birdies have to stay hungry. |

I want to know if it ate Wormdo's briefcase. That would actually make for an exciting spin-off series where it turns out that the late worm was a worm government official, going to work with a briefcase full of important and highly secret papers. Now special agent James Wormdo has to find the missing briefcase before the blackbird agents get their beaks on it... |

Or just white? Uploading just blank pages would certainly reduce the amount of work for the strip! Why didn't I think of that before? On the other hand, I fear that interest in the strip would decline very fast... Instead of black and white or just plain white, I opted for a little more pink: Episode 1139 |

And I got attacked by Paula with a Welsh Street Sign and I didn't even see her move
