They're listening to the equivalent of 'Blow the Wind Southerly' !
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Who are the other couple? Were we told?

AnneArthur

I think it's a couple who lived in the cottage before Jo.

Lol. Not sure if they would be better than triffids.

Build back better! More conspiracy theory bingo.

Typical. They talk about living on an island and here's me in the centre of England.

That's a scary-looking tank.

Gary Olsen was the little ratbag/punk killing people in Episode 4... now he's the government! This won't go well!

You can believe that people could turn into nazis like this.

Anything that's based in Brighton has problems!
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Six years, and the council are only talking about living off the land now?

Not so far removed from our government in 2023!

I would get them pissed and turn them out to the triffids...evil, aren't I?

Turns out the biggest threat isn't the triffids, but the new UK government.

A hopeful ending. Not really jokey enough for B7, but...

Thanks everyone for your company.

I hope my suggestion of Day Of The Triffids was OK. I'm now out on Wednesdays until October/November, but will set up the threads for Children Of The Stones.
Vote Og.

AnneArthur
That was very good. What happens at the end in the book?

M1795537OCVirn
That was really well done. Thanks for thinking of it, TT.

When will CotS start?

I remember bits of that - but very good to see it again. I'm looking forward to Children of the Stones - I remember a lot of very atmospheric supernatural series when I was young, but I don't think I've seen that one.

It follows them joining the island group, discusses the way they live and how the annual seed hunt would become part of a new folklore.

That would make sense. How do they get to the island? In the helicopter?

Just that it's not set in .... sorry. Only that we can choose a different night if it would be easier. I don't have any preference. Except not Tuesdays.

I was just wondering that myself. Can't remember but a boat must be involved.

I would prefer not Mondays or Tuesdays. And I can't do next Thursday.
