When my brother worked for Lothian regional Council, they used to run nuclear waste from Torness round the old Edinburgh suburban railway - which wasn't safe for passenger transport.

While I'm not all that far from the Big Radioactive Hole aka the 'safe' waste repository at whatever they're calling Calder Hall/Windscale/Sellafield these days.

In a science lesson, my daughter's group were a bit worried to find that the girl from Seascale (just along the coast from Sellafiled) made the Geiger counter they were learning about start clicking. A lot.

Yikes!

Skullduggery-ing all over the place.

Gosh. Tim McInnerny is in the cast - he must be very young here.

Using a microscope to check prints? Those were the days.

Yes, he is very young.

Tim isn't exactly being very helpful, is he?

It's a really clever way to develop the plot.

Ours was a saloon, four doors, mushroom-coloured. Two years older than I was.

Isn't he?

I bet Craven wishes he had a mobile phone so that he could copy that page of the report.

There is no spare dialogue/scenes in this. It is jam packed with story. I've had to pay attention!

Well, it's been....interesting. Another sleepless night ahead, I think. Great rewatch. Let's do this again next week!

Well, thank you for introducing me to that - that was absolutely riveting. As you say, no spare scenes at all.

Very much looking forward to next week.

My problem wasn't sleeplessness. Vivid dreams, in which Ronnie Craven loomed large.
Still can't wait for next week's continuing rewatch...
