Funny that it is always invisible women. Is there any example of a male relative who is notorious but never seen?

They wouldn't do it like that now. They'd have someone playing those characters, and demonstrating all the things the original let you use your imagination about. Nobody lets you imagine now. They spell it out on screen, maybe because people don't read enough these days and don't know how to imagine..

It's the same ''er indoors' thing. Can't think of a male version.

Maybe it's different in America?

In 1973 a week's wage would be about £40, I'm guessing. It's about £600+ now.

And the only reason the universe didn't implode is that this is fiction we're watching!

Perhaps they actually have to touch for the universe to implode?

(Note: women probably earned less than men in 1973!)

Aha. I wondered where you'd been. Still, £3.73 is cheap for a Manchester Derby!

I looked it up - cheapest Man U season ticket price this year is £579. Good grief!
Premier league matches - cheapest is £35 - ten times the price!

And I suppose we're contributing to all the safety gear the police didn't have then that they need now.

Caught up with this episode this morning. Another good one, although not quite on the level of the stellar one of last week. Really enjoying watching this again.

But the pub scene IS a corker! Still, I agree the Warren ep is top quality.

I'm afraid I won't be able to make the rewatch tonight - another pesky meeting. I'll catch up during the week.
